I was literally just reading Matthew 7, and decided I would look up "The Wise Man Built His House Upon the Rock" song because I remembered it from Sunday School when I was little. I found this, and I'm definitely happy I did. It's 100% true.

You are beautiful and loved no matter what. That should be the message. That should be the foundation taught. If more people knew that, they would not walk around feeling horrible about themselves and therefore treating others badly because they feel bad about themselves. How can you love anyone if you hate yourself? If you think your a failure to your sins all the time and that you needed saving because you are terrible. How? Tell me how that is love? How is that not abusive to make people feel that way about themselves?

I think that using evidence to support your hypothesis is putting your foundations on the rock, I think it is blind faith where the storm passes by and the sand blows away. That storm is the future where more people are expected to think critically and at a higher level.

@@lorahansen2875 I think he had good intentions but I agree, this did irk me. Biological sex is a scientific fact, yes, but even then it's not QUITE as binary as people think. And no one I know of us trying to dispute that. They're trying to explain that identity is more than your biology

I appreciate how passionate you are about your faith, but I have to say, gender is different than sex. Sex are the body parts you are genetically born with. Gender are traits people decided should be associated with the different sexes. My problem with gender normatives is that they ignore the more feminine men and more masculine women. Some women are born with higher testosterone levels and some men are born with high estrogen levels. Gender normative were created by men. Sex was created by God.

I know this was a year ago but idc I'm giving my two cents anyway lol I don't think anyone (at least most people) is trying to say you should blindly and solely trust faith to save you. Take the story itself. Build your house upon the rock. Not just stand on the rock and hope that alone can save you. Use the rock, or your faith, as a foundation. Not as the whole building
