You're right, it was a Bruxa 😁😁😁 Orianna, this "higher vampire" is not a true Higher Vampire like Regis or Detlaff, she's just a really old Bruxa who has gained a ton of power. The true Higher Vampires aren't able to be detected by magical means, and can blend into human society near-perfectly. The Witcher Pendants don't vibrate when facing a Higher Vampire like Regis and Detlaff. True Higher Vampires can only be killed by other Higher Vampires, but Orianna is only an old "higher vampire" Bruxa so Geralt kills her for real.

In the Witcher universe there are multiple levels of vampiric creatures. The lower levels are essentially mindless night walking blood drinkers. They never change and must hide from the sun. Some appear monsterous all the time. There are eight basic vampire types listed in the game (although five more are included as unique individuals of one of the generic types.) There are three lower types which fit the "monster all the time" group. Then there are three that kind of overlap. The Bruxae as shown in this clip are the highest common vampires...they can take on fully human aspects, as shown, can stand daylight fairly well, though they usually go cloaked to reduce the sun light which can do damage over time. They can pretty much pass as human. And then there are the two types of "Higher Vampires" which are almost always unique from vampire to vampire. These can actually walk in full sun, can eat normal food though it's like cardboard to them...and they can subsist on it without taking blood if their will is strong enough. One character in the second DLC, Blood and Wine, treats blood as a kind of recovered alcoholic...and has for decades, knowing that indulging in blood drinking will result in losing control of his aspect.

Just a suggestion while watching you explain a lot of things to her.... Maybe try after the video is done during discussion as concentrating on two things will ruin the fun,and lack of attention to the details in trailer... Like in game her thirst for blood led to her own death (cos Geralt drank a potion to heat up his own blood)... Otherwise I like ur reactions thats totally genuine and feels friendly and that little smirk on ur face u have(when u know stuff and ur partner saw these for first time 😂😂)
