Took the front wheel clean off, within 5 minutes of getting this. It's lightning, but doesn't like curbs at high speed :). Just got to wait 3 weeks for new parts and she'll be back on the road!
@@noobrccars4392 I hope so! My last rc car was an original Tamiya Thunder Dragon. So that dates me !! 🤣 I've already ordered some metal steering knuckles and some road tyres to drive her indoors at the sports hall my club has access to. I am interested to see how she handles with the slicks. Maybe I'll grab an anti-roll bar soon...
bought myself a Blomiky 9125 and a Caivun (subotech) conqueror (1/14 jeep crawler) for Christmas, and for nostalgia sake I just bought the radio shack version of the tamiya qd midnight pumpkin cause I had the tamiya version as a kid.. it’s addicting
Mine is on it's way. Tracking is telling me it's in the country :) I also got some spare hubs, both plastic replacements, and metal ones to try out. This will be my first RC, so hoping I like it. Already looking around for what to get next. It seems like an addictive hobby, but just what I am after. Great video by the way
Be very carefull with this hobby, it is superaddictive and it is so much fun with a great youtube community. I allways had a intrest in rc cars and with the start of covid it really took a turn for the worse (for my wallet) :D
@@michielpoortvliet3003 haha, yeah, I think I am already hooked on the RU-vid community, and already planning my second car, without having a first. What is wrong with me? 😂
@@AdamHarte nothing dude! Allways enjoy the things YOU like and love to do, no mather what others think or say! Because in the end they wish they could be that guy (you)!
My son and I have been very interested in RC for years but always found it to expensive..... This bargain got us to order two and ready to learn! cannot wait for them to arrive!
Noob is talking a lot, but his driving is like sh*&. I've seen his video on the skate ramps and it made me cry. Maybe he knows something about techs (maybe), but the fact that he's not answering and drives like a 8 year old.....should say enough.
@@noobrccars4392 great to hear and yes ☔️has stopped play! 🙈It’s frustrating as it’s not even getting chance to dry out? Let’s hope for a nice spring/summer in a new yr 👍
Good review thanks I Was going to buy one as they seem good now issues have been fixed but for some reason bang good no longer sending this item to the. I was also going to buy a rc plane and that also can't be sent to the UK.
Hi there thank you. It’s a cool little car. The link in the description takes you to Banggood. I just clicked it and it says available to uk also has 5% off. If that helps? If memory serves me I think you can change your location in the account bit when I first tried to order it said not available but it was set to Spain or somewhere. I might be wrong but worth a try.
@@noobrccars4392 thanks mate yes link is working with the 5% off aswell so that's good. I went to the app to add a rc plane to basket and its in the app that says no able to ship to UK. So a little strange. I'll buy the car through the link and hopefully find away to get the plane to.
@@noobrccars4392 ya I will do just going to try and find the most common spare parts needed then I'll get my order in. My boy likes rc planes so it's a great excuse to try one for myself aswell.
Again thanks for the review I brought this through the link 7 days ago and it came today so excellent service from them. I also have some spare on the way so I'm sure they won't be far behide. With it coming so fast I didt get chance to get to rc grease and was wondering if this would be OK for the diffs as its all I can get before Monday and now it's here I really want to take it for a blast. Or can I run one battery through it before the need to grease the diffs. Versatile, multipurpose lithium-based grease with a high melting point. Used throughout industry and the automotive sector. Suitable for use with wheel bearings, universal joints and as a chassis lubricant. Contains EP additives for use in all roller friction and plain bearings which are subjected to high load conditions. Offers a high degree of corrosion protection. Extreme Pressure & Anti-Wear Performance Thanks lee
Hallo, 👍👍👍 very good review… 👍👍👍 Informative and entertaining at the same time… Great! And…😉🧐😂 It was not the jump that broke the hub, it was the bad landing… 😉🧐😂 And like already said - cold temperatures are always a problem for plastic parts… Of course, plastic parts from more expensive, competition orientated models are better/stronger, especially at low temperatures… Those parts are actually made from a softer, more flexible plastic material, and to compensate this softness they get their mechanical strength by having glass- or carbon-fibre mixed into the plastic…😉🧐 In this aspect the right material mixture is the "BIG secret" for best performance and durability… 😉🧐 And even these parts are better, they still brake in certain racing condition… 😉🧐 Keep on having a great RC FUN time…!!! 🍀 Thorsten 🌞 RACER - Budget RC Fun Team Germany 🍻 😉😂😊…
And this, boys and girls, is why you learn how to jump with brushes and then graduate to brushless, also don't bash in really cold temps you will break stuff no matter the car 😁
The jump wasn't that big and the surface relatively smooth but the landing was the problem. I have the V1 and it's great, I'm currently modifying it to fix the cogging with a higher KV motor and a smaller pinion.
Yes I have to admit it was a bad bit of driving from me😂 I’ve put a 540 brushless motor in my 124016 to try and cure the cogging without changing the gearing almost works.
I've had this thing for a month and have dumped way to much money into it . Barely ever works lol , just put in new hobby wing esc well a second one , and the steering servo died . Its fast and fun . Just know its gonna break alot till you swap it out for better quality electronics
To be honest the supplied battery is pretty good unless you want run 3s as for a charger I just have a cheap sky rc balance charger and it does a good job.
It's on both, they both have been upgraded to stop the cogging and the range, like he says you can tell by the blue on the wheel on the controller and it has been geared differently, nothing to do with a scam they have made two versions of the 016 and 017 and v2 are brilliant, as he said they are what the v1 should have been but at least they have now sorted out the problems Just watch RC kiwis channel and they review the 124017 version 1 with black wheel on radio and bronze motor mount then a few months later they review the 124017 version 2 with the blue round the radio wheel and motor mount and we see both the cars side by side. So there are DEFINITELY 2 version of this car as rc kiwis show them side by side, also you can see that this car has blue on it and if you watch any other review of when it first came out it doesn't have the blue so it's 10000000000% FACT that there is a 124016 AND 124017 version 1 and version 2 Also in this review he tells us that he bought a version 1 and he is now reviewing the version 2 ,do you think he's lying about that's? So again it's nothing to do with Banggood,2 different versions have been made. The Banggood scam was that people were ordering version 2 and they were being sent version 1 BUT that doesn't change the fact that they're 2 different versions on sale
hard to watch u driving -.- worst terrain for this kind of car... also wondeirng why the car breaks when u jumps 2 meters high mhhhhh, how curious huh? real car survives 20 meter drops easy ;-))))))))))))))))))))) i remember when i got my first RC car =) but keep going u will learn maybe
