Thank you for the video. I was born and lived in Ukraine and i would like to make a small clarification to the title of this video. This woman does not live alone, she lives in the village in the mountains. There are other people whom also live in that village. Most of the families own a big pice of land and houses are far away from each other. Carpathian Mountains are an absolutely breathtaking place and its beautiful all year around. God bless Ukraine, please pray for peace for my country.

Which INCLUDES the NGO's in New York and in London and the policy establishments who formulated policy of making Ukrane an ally rather than respecting the independence of the that nation. It has been over 60 years since I milked three cows a day when I was about 13 years old. It has been hard to recall some of those times on a small farm in western Washington State. I was instantly transported back to being in the barn and knowing every move that was made to get the job done quickly and done well. We did a lot of butter making, but we did not do any cheese making. My grandmother from Germany had gone to a "girls high school" where she was taught all of the fine arts of cheeses and sausage making. Some how my mom did not follow her mothers path as closely. Grandma Timmerman was one of my greatest inspirations growing up. When I was 20 I took her back to Germany to see what remained of her family. She left Germany in 1921 and it was 50 years later that I helped her go home for the first time. We grew up poor, but we always ate very well. We were biodynamic before it was named. o one even thought of it as organic. I can easily relate to all that is presented here. It is a good and simple life. I just bought a farm in Sweden and it will be nice to do a bit of that work again. This time it will be out of desire and not just necessity. Thanks for the great work that you do. It leaves me at peace.
The family farm is still there, but I am not. I bought part of a large farm in Sweden about 3 hours north of Stockholm. There are no milk cows in the future, but chickens and a couple other critters may show up.@@mariamghandour-su8uj

Happened upon this channel by accident!! Glad I did ; what a wonderful talented woman! It's nice to know that you have neighbors near. Still, living on your own is a wonderful life! I saw comments saying things like "she's not alone, there's children around and neighbors near". I guess they don't really understand what living alone means. Self reliance, Independence . Just because there are neighbors, doesn't change the fact that you're doing it on your own and on your own terms!! Thanks for sharing!
Well, in their defense, it does say living alone in the mountains. It does give you the illusion that she is "living alone in the mountains" doesn't it? I mean I was thinking too, she has all this wiring and switches everywhere and she is "living alone in the mountains"? How did she get power over there?

One thing I wanted to ask doesn't it seem like she is being filmed because it always shows her leaving the room and the camera is outside then and watches her walk to the shed or wherever following her as if she's being filmed by a camera crew. The other day it's showed her making the same item and cut from place to place like there were more than one camera on her

I never believed the woman "lived alone" because of the amount of food she prepares. Also, and more importantly, I believe the Spirit of God lives in the presence of these people. Amen. It is a wholesome lifestyle. It's not easy compared to Western cultures. However, it appears much more rewarding for the soul. On going diligence to provide the daily needs. Hello, from New Zealand. I loved watching this so much vyou are a very hard worker, & you put me back in time to when I was a little girl, watching my parents work on our farm. Not many people work in this way any more in my country, because most tasks are automated, but I have learned to make soft cheeses such as mozzarella, cottage cheese, feta & paneer, as well as some delicious traditional breads. A real educational look back in time.Maria milking Her cow by hand is the way it was done in America until the early 1960s when small farms started to slowly disappear. Milk, cheese and butter after that time was easily obtainable at grocery stores so having a cow was just by choice. It is really a stark contrast when some parts of the third world especially are carrying on life like many did 70 years ago. These people like Maria are very self sufficient and still are have the same skills and knowledge to make a lot of different foods and other products at home, it is an honor to meet you Maria

They also might not have leaders in their country that are elected by the people but live under Dictatorships which are governments that are kept in power by the military. Some Third World small tribal people live much like people did hundreds of years ago. Some Third World countries do not have the Internet, or Television or a system of Doctors and Hospitals to treat their people. None of the European Countries are Third World Countries. Poverty and a very low standard of living like you find in much of South America, Africa and parts of South East Asia are classic conditions of Third World Cultures. Many people in these do not have enough food to eat or medical care as we know it.
They're not "third world." Arrogant to compare her choice to your own standards. Cheesemaking is an artisanal art, and it's not primitive, it's scientific. She's got electricity, delicious clean water, soap, a beautiful house with heat... even a dish on her roof. For all you know, they have smart phones, too. That's pretty arrogant, calling them third world. Ukraine is a modern country, sweetie. They are big enough to provide most of the wheat their side of the world needs. They've got the biggest nuclear power facility in their part of the world. They've got ports that Putin wants for his oil pipelines to ships, and for his dachas. You can't have a dacha in Siberia. It could be that this village rejects all the superficial stuff you think you need, to be successful. We haven't seen anything but her cheesemaking industry, you don't know anything else about how she lives. You assume a great deal. This is why some people have labeled folks like you "ugly Americans." I lived simply, like her, for many years, out in the middle of nowhere.and I still choose a simple life. And I'm not "third world" any more than this cheesemaker. There are a lot of people in our country who are self-sufficient... for various reasons. Hers looks like a good, honest life. People who make thungs by hand are craftsmen... not primitive. Whether they make pottery, jewelry, weave baskets, know how to build earthships or tiny houses, bake their own bread, or make cheese... they're all skilled artisans. i make all my own bread... what did you eat when covid struck and shelves were bare id year and bread? I taught folks how to make tortillas p, heated bread and sourdough. I make my own yogurt, and can turn it into panir. I can dry it to store indefinitely. You'd be helpless, I doubt you even know how to solar disinfect water, or what temp you actually need. Arrogant!
Wow, she doesn't need to go for workouts in gyms. She's so active and laborious. Must be very healthy. I love this kind of life and place too. She's so blessed to live in this paradise.

I love Ukraine....coz most of the doctors are from Ukraine. ( My niece n nephew studied in Ukraine... finished before war.) Many country doctors are from Ukraine and they are proud to tell they studied MBBS in Ukraine. ( They promoted it's a beautiful country, safe n clean....till war came) God's blessings always 🙌 Thank you for the video cos we can't go to Ukraine for tour. But through this video we enjoyed watching the colourful SCENERIES n SCENARIOS of a beautiful Ukraine village. With so many wonders, beautiful trees, springs, hills, mountains, landscaping n nice environment of the village. Neat n clear atmosphere. Milking from the cow... making butter milk. Love it. My mother never have to tie the leg n tail..... she'll talk to the cow, sing her favourite song. She'll tell stories to the cow....my mother will tell the cow, my income is from you to feed my children n you. Believe me....the cow will turn her head n look at my mother's face with tears in her eyes. After milking my mother will pat her, kiss her n say thank you....l miss all that now. Cos no more village, destroyed for development..... very sad. Enjoyed watching.... reminds me of my younger days...🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Wow, my grandma did stuff like this. In the coming days we may have to go back to the old ways. Actually healthier and fresh. A lot of time went in to it but I remember how fantastic things tasted before everything got processed. We may have to live this way again. I’m going to hogan up my skills! Love where she lives. My grandma of New Zealand died 3/4 yrs ago at 102. She was amazing & washed her clothes by hand up to 100..nearly 101 when she end up in a home. She was once on a farm & did everything naturally..big gardens..house cows shed hand milk too, make butter & she would have gone on if her husband didn't get cancer. They gave up the farm to move closer to the hospital for his on going treatment. Beautiful way of life. Oh our sad grandchildren growing up in cities where their outings are to shopping malls mainly!
