Several months ago, my nephew asked me if I could make an urn for his very old dog; so I made this one. Making it bigger would make it a nice one for a human.

My dog is my best buddy, so I see nothing odd about an urn for dog ashes. Your nephew is very lucky to have you for an uncle.

Thank you. Since I recorded this video, the poor dog passed away, my nephew was quite happy to have this urn.

There is nothing odd to me about an urn for a family pet. I have the ashes for most of my cats, who were like my babies. I'm glad you were able to make a beautiful handcrafted depository for your nephew's beloved dog!

It seems that I'm the only one that think it was odd... But at least my nephew was happy, unfortunately now Guidoune ashes are in the urn. I'm glad I was able to make this urn before she passed away.

sorry to hear of your nephew's dog passing. This is such a great way for him to remember his dog. You made a beautiful urn. I made a memory box out of butternut when my dog passed in 2022 to keep her collar and tags and other mementos.

Thank you. You will feel sad again... I have another urn coming up, but sadly it was for my same nephew, but his grandmother. But as sad has it is, I'm happy to make something nice to commemorate the passing life of loved ones.

As long as I can see he got his channel back last night, all his videos are back again, but only in the videos section not in the home section. This is normal it's what happened to me last year, videos only goes there when they are freshly published, not if you put them public, and those darn hackers only put all the videos private, this can be done quite quickly so their fraud can be up and running very fast. One thing I can say is that when I talked to him yesterday, he was pretty stressed... But a couple of hours later I was seeing his videos coming back again one by one

I understand, but some things are almost impossible to do by hand these days, like the carving of the dog in hard maple with all the small intricate details. I have another urn coming up, it's done with a CNC again, but I intend to make one for my brother in law without a CNC, the problem is that I know this will take forever to make, but I love working with hand tool, you know I have quite a lot of them, but sometime using modern tool is easier. If our grandparents would see us right now using all the power tools we own they would say that this is not woodworking also, but I don't know anyone (beside me) that go into the forest cut their own trees and make furniture out of it, and even I use chain saws, power jointer/planer, table saw etc to make it. 150 years ago all this was made by hand not anymore....
