The best option to avoid government-enforced regulations and dictates is to live where government is small, weak, and more accessible to corruption. All governments are corrupt, but poorer ones enable everyone to participate in the corruption, unlike in the 1st world, where only the very wealthy can do it. So, in the case of the vax, many people in third world nations simply bought their way out of it. Of course, I have no first hand official knowledge of any such activities.

@@paraguaymike5159 in Latvia a good percentage of the population bought fake certificates, most of the them coming out of Germany. Then, when testing clinics got 'overwhelmed' people were allowed to buy empty vials and bring in their saliva for testing instead of doing it on the spot. Hence, everyone who had already tested positive was spitting into everyone else's vials so suddenly there was an 'upsurge' in positive cases and a whole lot of people got certificates that allowed them back in the food stores and back on planes. And everyone was still doing business via 'back doors' anyway. You have to kind of admire that. People really stuck and worked together against the poke mandates. Not to mention the 'tea parties' where, when someone tested positive , everyone in their circle gathered together to catch it as well. Hardly anyone had any trust in the government and their forced mandates. Of course, this is only hearsay. ;

It translates to lower prices and a better quality of life for foreigners. It also translates to smaller, weaker government, which means more freedom and less intrusion in citizens lives. This was a big point in my decision to move here from the States. Paraguay is experiencing increasingly higher levels of immigration, mainly from Europe, for exactly the aforementioned reasons. As far as danger is concerned, I have been living here full time since 2011, and can say that Paraguay is safer than most cities in the US.

Europe is Cursed ! I lived there during the best time in Wiesbaden, Germany from 1984 to 2000. Before the wall came down it was absolutely beautiful and elegant. After the wall fell the older generation warned repeatedly that you can not blend East and West Germany because " OIl and Water Do Not Mix !. Meaning Western Capitalism and Communism do not Mix: One system will destroy the other. Then they were terrified of absorbing the East German Stazi Secret Police into West Germany !. By the time I left Weisbaden it was a shell of itself": Economic ruin by 2000. When living there visiting all the old ruins of Castles throughout West Germany you heard from Tour Guides a repeating Theme : " The 100 years War, The War of the Roses, The 30 Years War, WW1 and WW2 they are all over due for WW3! Switzerland is very creepy! You heard absolutely nothing in Germany News or TV on Switzerland: Silence. Just this year 2023 on TV in the USA there was a facinating documentary on the Extensive network of massive underground Tunnels everywhere regardless of Mountain ranges and citizens tasked with keeping them clean and ready ! Like Ants they have a plan to disappear underground in the event of anything they cannot deal with on the surface. The problem with considering any European country it is very important to know if they are connected to WEF, Chattem House or The Council of Foreign Relations and The UN ! Reason being is that these selfish controllers all are brainwashed with Eugenics: Scientific Racism. I wonder how henry kissinger is still alive and active with all the chaos in politics along with his spider network. Using the stated criteria, the US would rank above the UK, Australia, and Ireland. Given its geography, location, and fertile land mass, as well as general demographics, the *RURAL* heartland of America (also known as "flyover country" to elitist coastal snobs) beats anywhere else on the planet to be during a global apocalypse. Ireland is soggy and cold most of the time, and generally a miserable place to live. Large swaths of the Australian outback, away from population centers, would also rank substantially higher than the UK and Ireland, except for the fact that everything that lives in those areas is trying to kill you. As a food source, nothing beats the oceans, and warm climates are far better for human survival than cold. Equatorial coastal areas, and islands, will always be havens of human survival. And if you're not already at your chosen fallback location, do you think you're going to just jump on a plane and fly there, during an apocalypse? Spend a fortune on a passport, only to realize its only value is as a fire-starter after SHTF. Bureaucracies and long-distance travel are the first things to collapse when the world is on fire. When the grid goes down, millions will die in the first weeks because their smartphones can't tell them what to do.

Locals and expats. Learn investing and networking etc. Go back to the USA with the drive and motivation and knowledge from the experience and person (A) is now 18 and by the time that person is 21 you can figure out how to live 80-100 percent out of the USA likely on a beautiful beach with beautiful people for pennies and live a life they could make a movie on.. For example in playa del Carmen I had an apartment on 5 and 15 (3 blocks from the beach) for 150$ a month. I fought an MMA fight on Cozumel island with my Columbian girl friend there. I rented a Jeep Wrangler and ripped it all over the island. I made friends from all over the world. Rent, gym, local grocery, some recreation, physical therapy, and amazing experience a few feet from the beach costed about $800 a month FOR EVERYTHING. and the people you meet and network with and conversations you have especially in a place like playa del Carmen it's like going into another dimension.. As far as Latin America is concerned you mentioned Uruguay (which I do agree, especially for being "boring"...I was raised just besides, on the brazilian side of the border; love the emptiness of their countryside and the contact with nature). Now I am surprised you didn't mention Paraguay, especially taking into account the points you considered. Bear in mind Paraguay - besides being more affordable and less bureaucratic than Uruguay to obtain the provisional residence permit - is the most conservative country in the Mercosul region (where one can be really left alone and develop business with a minimum state intervention), else their government did not sign J. Kerry's stup1d document coercing countries to reduce agricultural production (allegedly to reduce carbon effects and 🐂 💩 of the like). Once the so-called "Via Bioceânica" (i.e. the road linking the Port of Santos-SP to the ports of Chile across Paraguay and Argentina) gets completed, this tends to revolutionize the country's logistics infrastructure, which will add considerable value to most investments. They also have a rather interesting "Ley de Maquila" which is similar to Mexico's. Works like a tax haven in many senses, though not perceived as such. No gun control laws (in Uruguay either, though I hear carry permits take a little more red tape to obtain there). #My20c

Agreed: Paraguay was a BIG miss on this video. Maybe Andrew is keeping Paraguay for himself in the apocalypse. Paraguay is also a net exporter of food which of course means there is plenty of available farm land. And Paraguay sits on top of the largest remaining fresh water aquafer in the world - the Guarani Aquifer. And being in South America in the southern hemisphere like many of those other countries is mentioned is insulated for the most part from a northern hemisphere nuclear war. It has both one of the cheapest temporary and permanent residency costs in the world, and a solid, legitimate path to citizenship naturalization in 5 years now. (It just increased from 3). Retired Canadian here. My travels (75 countries and counting, including living in HK back in the eighties) taught me a few things that should be at the top of the priority list: low crime rate, access to health care, cultural adaptability, nice people, and affordable. Lately, I have added a non-woke culture or government. So, that list puts a red flag over most of Latin America, due to high crime and questionable medical services outside of a few large cities. Portugal fares well by those criteria, and perhaps Spain. Surprisingly, so does Malaysia. And, for those a little more venturous culturally, Thailand and Turkey. I dont know enough about eastern Europe to assess. But beyond those few, the challenge of attaining those criteria above grows considerably higher. Almost nowhere in Africa comes close to qualifying. India is a challenge. China is out of the question. And the anglosphere, despite huge advantages, is so deep into wokeism we might as well call them communist, or close to it.

The US government's policy during the pandemic was a big eye-opener for me, especially when most of my family and friends believed in all the government pandemic policies. A Colombian passport sounds like a great option, especially as I've lived there for a short time and enjoyed the culture and lifestyle. Other countries in Central and South America and the Caribbean seem great. Colombia has great city living, and a great respect for horse farms. Of course, I frequented Dubai during the pandemic as it was the most open for me and my friends. Latin America is really the best for me; Dubai is the best for having friends visit me. I appreciate pragmatism, but I do not trust countries where the rules of the game change every time a new "government" takes office (like is now happening in Brazil, as an instance). My safest bets nowadays would be Uruguay (the most expensive, but my favourite; I am brazilian, but was partially raised there) and Paraguay, maybe Ecuador and Guiana, as well. Argentina may be recoverable, if they manage to solve the hyperinflation crisis and bury "Kirchnerism" along this end of the year election...we'll see.

That was my concern until I actually lived in Colombia for a year. You have to live your life and have the documents to show the big boss man to leave you alone. Right now, US is "blame the rich" and the social situation is heavy real estate taxes and also residential re-zoning to force you to accept "affordable housing" on your property, rent-control on your property, and non-citizens and rent-subsized people on your property. It's already happening here. No respect for private property. The fear of "nationalization" of private property is real.

Why exactly did Dominica already lose it? Can the suspension be reversed? What are they doing about the problem? Is loss of EU access next,? People who invested in Dominca will, essentially, lose the value of their investment, especially European access was their main motivator. When you think about it, it's astonishing...Commonwealth countries losing visa free access to Great Britain! If that's so, how can loss of EU access not be far behind? Panama was a nightmare for someone that I know. They went on the basis of the recommendations from many ex pats(government workers). For two years,they lived out of one bedroom of the condo they had bought. The workers never came to finish the construction. They had to pay endless bribes to obtain any of their possessions from customs. Every where they turned, they had to pay bribes to get anyone to do anything. He, himself, was a Dr from the USDA. Both were very experienced world travelers, and naturalized Americans. He came from Trinidad while she was from the Philippines. They eventually sold the condo, and moved back to the US. I didn't know they had land in Paraguay, though 900 ha (2223.948 acres) is not that much of a farm for Paraguay. There are farms with hundreds of thousands of hectares there (especially in the Northern Chaco), same as in the brazilian neighbor states (PR, MS and MT). The "Aquífero Guarany" extends from Uruguay and Argentina until Center West Brazil and Eastern Paraguay. Almost like an "undergound sea". Now I wonder how Uruguay is going through such a drought with so much good quality water under its territory. I guess it is not cheap to drill that deep. 🤔
@Learned333
@Learned333 Год назад
I believe it is just under 100,000 acres, which is ~40,400 hectares, so the land is much more massive than that. Their land is way out in the rural Chaco close to the Bolivia and Brazilian borders. Also that aquifer is way larger than their land, so that people reading this don't think they own it all. The place to realistically live is on the other side of Paraguay in the SE so you won't be neighbors with the Bush's.
