This is one of the reasons Bruce reallyy spares him in BvS , he used to see him as an alien with strange powers, but when he heard him cry Martha (which is his mother's name too) and when he saw a girl (his lover) who cared enough to come and say him not to kill her dear love , he realises Superman had a mother and he had someone who had dear love for him ,which made him realise if there was an odd one out in the room , it was himself.

Clark and Bruce are two sides of the same coin. Both have tragic origins, both are orphans it was that loss of their original families early in their lives that shaped them in the years that followed. Rembrandt van Rijn what makes bvs interesting is that bruce was being dominated by the bat personality, when alfred and clark were trying to talk to him about his actions he was too stubborn to listen, remember the first scene with alfred and clark's interview. The movie also shows how mentally weak bruce was with jason, the black zero event and now superman who he saw as a threat, and most importanly his ptsd was getting worse that ever. That's why the resolution of their fight was writing the way it was, superman without any bad intention and because he was losing time, gave batman a name so maybe he could believe him, this obviously trigger bruce in an emotional level for the first time in the movie, it was ptsd and trigger for unexpected outcomes that finally opened his eyes about what he was doing the whole time. It is also important to know that individuals with ptsd blame themselves for what happened to them so the scene goes very deep between the two characters.

I like Bruce's line "he was more human than I am." And it's true. Not literally of course, but this Bruce Wayne has been consumed by Batman. He's basically alienated himself from everyone other than Alfred. I think the playboy act in the Bale films got annoying, and it made Bruce look like a terrible businessman, but these recent films Bruce has done next to nothing involving Wayne Industries. Fingers crossed for a BATMAN solo film. I'd like to see the character fleshed out a little more.

The reason Batman was so weak in justice league is that for so long in his mission he was motivated by rage, in the prime of his career his rage was tempered by his compassion & his strict moral code but by BvS his rage had overpowered all aspects of his self, his moral code was gone,his charming playboy mask which he constructed to mask his true self was in shambles. Notice the scene where he’s interviewed by Clark & see how he goes from asshole uncaring playboy to intense simmering rage. Post BvS his rage is gone & he’s struggling to find the fire to fight, he figures he no longer has the ability to fight the new threats in the post superhuman world so putting together the league & resurrecting Superman is in his mind the last good thing he can do to protect the world & he actually WANTS to die before he becomes irrelevant but Diana & the team inspire him to fight on.

@mayukhsen8195 6 лет назад
Tucker Bowen Batman's wealth hardly ever contributed to become who and what he is today. With his intellect (in canon DC comics Batman is the smartest member of the justice league, with unparalleled scientific inventions and strategic intelligence, closely followed by Lex Luthor) he could have earned his wealth or resources in a matter of 10 years by easily becoming a tech giant(like how Luthor got rich). Batman dedicated his youth to mental and physical training, but when he was training himself, he was making his own living, up until the league of assasins took him in,and since then he didn't have to worry about food, Bruce has lived the lives of poor people during the time he was in training, he had no assistance from his home So don't pull the "born with a fortune" card, it has no relevance to anything. Batman is the most relatable because he is a hero that is inside every one of us, he is a symbol of hope and willpower. He teaches us that willpower and dedication can take us a long way, and only sky is the limit. Flash and Green Lantern are in no way relatable, Flash is a godlike powerful entity and Green Lantern learnt all his combat skills and knowledge through digital programming, how the fuck did they ever do anything to become what they are? They were gifted with their powers, but I must admit they are the most saintlike characters to opt to become benevolent protectors and heroes because with that much power any ordinary joeschmoe would want to become a tyrant. There is a lesson to learn from every hero, but no one inspires us like Batman does, he is by far the best of all heroes in every way imaginable, it's just because I am a superman fanboy is why Batman is still number two on my list.
@tuckerbowen4626
@tuckerbowen4626 6 лет назад
Mayukh Sen look, i'm fine with disagreeing on how human Batman is, but don't say that GL and Flash are just downright impossible to relate to. for one thing, GL did not learn *all* of that through programming. you think they let just anyone join the air force? the ring chose him for his heart and mind. and Flash's powers may have been accidental, but it would never have happened if he hadn't worked to become a chemistry genius.

Superman represents both hope and the power of destruction. Hope is.... odd. Gotham City has hopeful people. But.... Jean-Paul, Jimmy, and Jeremiah Arkham are barely holding on. This Batman has lost all hope. So imagine if he is Gotham's last hope. This vengeful creature of darkness could and would only the evil that the bat fought. Power became opposition in his eyes. And opposition became Gotham's dark side. But here, in this very scene: I see a human being that tries to reobtain hope and embrace the better part of humanity. He may be mad. I really believe , Bruce actually meant some big gun( something that kills) here and not Lois. In the Whedon cut, he might have thought that would be too DARK and removed that too. Bruce may have had in mind Lois, but that was not his contingency, he had something much bigger up his sleeve , for alfred to act so scared, or else it's a hype for nothing

@@chrishansen9731 mhmm, the scene where the league comes in and saves him is the remains of his "going out like a man" plan. The film was (and now very well might in 2021) going to deal with the extreme guilt he carried for giving into his darker side.

This scene, alongside the intro scene with the thief on the Rooftop and then his one-on-one with the Parademon, are the best scenes in Josstice League. His scene with Diana, where he lets slip the fact that he's getting too old for the job is also good. Also Batman being the one bringing Lois to bring Clark back from his temporary rage is on point. All these scenes display a heavily analytical Batman who, just like in the comics, recognizes strengths and weaknesses in others and exploits them in favors of the mission.

For all of Bruce's talk about the world needing Superman, we really didn't see the impact his death actually had. We didn't even see the public's reaction to his return. The marketing for the movie played right into the idea that Superman is meant to be a beacon of hope for all of humanity. But in the end, it felt like that idea was ultimately meaningless and had little real bearing on the manner in which he returned. There was just something missing there.
