I love how everyone does a "taste test" at the end. Like they expect it to taste of anything other then sauerkraut and hot dogs. This isn't some delicate culinary blend of complimentary flavours, It's a plate of sauerkraut. IT'S LITERALLY A PLATE OF SAUERKRAUT. No, I can't get over this.

"Stuffed crown roasted Frankfurter" what Americans in the 1940s thought Germans eat. What Germans do: Just throw ribs in a pot with Sauerkraut and you are done. Eat with bread or mashed potatoes. Less effort and tastes better then tortured Frankfurter. Edit: You can always substitute the ribs with pork leg which is more tender and juicy.

This reminds me of my church's cookbook, entitled "Treasured Recipes"; my grandmother's submission to which was "boiled calf brains"... a dish that I could not recall her ever cooking in my entire 32 years. Suffice it to say (as she was 96 at the time) she may have forgotten a step or two which could have ruined an already... ummm... unappealing dish.

This dish just blows me away, I can't get over it how such a simple Bavarian dish could be so badly prepared. They even using canned sauerkraut and what looks like flavorless mashed potatoes that never saw cream or salt and it's preparation. I am thoroughly disgusted how somebody could screw up such an easy dish and then use hot dogs instead of frankfurters or another German or Italian sausage and using canned sauerkraut instead of fresh combined with the hot dogs makes me want to puke.

You had bad hot dogs, get some good ones, poke holes in them, cook them in a frying pan, toast buns in the oven, roll them in slices of sharp cheddar cheese and put them in the buns and back in the oven so the cheese melts, eat

Actually the butcher shop I worked at made hotdogs out of only good cuts of meat mixed with some cheddar. Fresh out of the smoker it’s actually so good, surprisingly. I don’t really like hotdogs either but the ones coming out of that butcher shop were freaking amazing.

My friend it all depends on brand the of sausage you use for a hotdog and bread that determins how good it will overall experience maybe you just didnt get the right brand for your taste literally

There’s basic rules you kinda need to follow for a cooking channel. -have only one person cooking, or a guest that’s a professional -don’t do everything in one take -Don’t force humour -have a script -cook the dish a few times before shooting - don’t force your friends to eat your shitty food. They did none of these things.
