I just purchased a new Casio PX-S1000 digital piano on sale for $499 and understand the limitations it has. However as a beginning player I feel this is an incredible value for this new piano compared to anything else at the $500 range. I really wanted the the PX-S3100 but at $879 it is just way too much money for me.

I used to one a PX-160. There is 3 different weights u can select for the keys. Soft, medium and hard. The guy in the video is not aware

I recently found a PX S 1000 in red at a pawnshop for $500. It includes the stand and the standard pedal. So is that worth it for somebody that will be taking piano lessons again. I played as a child but now I’m 64 or should I keep looking for the PX S 1100?

Is the action on the CDP S350 and PX line same I have heard the CDP line doesn't have uneven weighting of black and white keys.

No it's a diffrent action. Only the PXS1,100/3,100 and, they're predesessors the PXS1,000/3,000 have that action were the black keys are lighter than the white keys🎹🎶

Did yoy notice anything on the weight of black vs white keys? I like the full vibtrant Casio sound.

Ted did mention he wasn’t enthusiastic about the playability. I think he was holding back a fair bit. He didn’t seem to like it at all for this reason. So, possibly the white & black key imbalances haven’t been fixed. I wouldn’t buy it personally.

I owned many other Rolland, Yamaha, Korg, all way more expensive and this Casio sounds and feels better than them all!

@@Johnherlihy1 in this 4 days i didn't stop to make sure, i think i agree with you, now a day casio makes more detail of piano sounds, now i realize that even roland is the most worst sound, they call it super natural bla bla bla their piano sounds 'fat', there is no 'fat' sounds on real acoustic piano, u was correct and thanks to open my ears 👍🏻

@@Johnherlihy1I agree. Today was at the guitar center and ordered the Casio based on sound and feel. Tried also Yamaha p125 and 45 and Roland but this was the best looking, and it sounded the best to me. And the keyboard felt realistic. The other one felt more plastic
