I got the lifeproof after watching this and i hate it lol. I never drop my phone with a pela case because it has a rubbery feel to it whereas the lifeproof slips out of my hands constantly. Great video tho!
thanks for the upload! completely true to the extent that replacing broken iphones cost much more environmentally, so durability and functionality of the case itself matters ALOT having that in mind i have the moment thin case (biodegradable) for my iphone, and while thin, its surprisingly well built. could you look into that in a future episode? id like to hear your thoughts

Could you check out the nimble phone case too? They make cases with recycled CD plastic. More known for making power banks out of recycled plastic bags. They send you a bag to place old electronics and ship to a recycling center too. Love your reviews, have been watching for a while

Not related to this video but I am using an Iphone 11 pro max. I really like the mag safe and magnetic wallet on the iphone 12, the one that apple sells. I am wondering if there is something similar like this for iphone 11 pro max? Other than mous case. Also for mous case is it thick?
I believe the "oatmeal" look is just a byproduct of using plant-based fillers to make these. From what I know, most of these types of products do use regular plastic, but with fillers and other components to make them "eco friendly".
It's still plastic, whether it's labelled plastic or not. Processed in the same manner. Oddly enough, having these cases breakdown quicker means that the CO2 used in the bio plastic is released into the atmosphere quicker than normal plastic. Which at this moment, is something all the activists says is a bad thing.
@Kiji Art I agree that the breakdown of the product is quicker. Which means it's releasing the CO2 that's captured in the bio-plastic quicker into the environment which isn't a good thing since the CO2 is the thing that's warming the earth. Again, protection of the device first, which is the biggest culprit in terms of its carbon footprint. If you want the compostable case, get one that's actually protective, not one from a company that produces sub-par products. I'm not against compostable cases, I'm against companies that produce bad compostable cases.
Basically go buy a Dbrand grip case. It will last for 2 years. They look and feel great. And are awesome. Yes probably not ego friendly. Nor is your phone. Get a good case to protect your device, pocket and prevent Ewaste as your device will last longer. Then dispose of the case in the recycling. All these eco cases don't protect your device enough and thus hurt the environment when your get your device repaired or replaced.
