Mauga is not bad right now. He’s literally one of the best pick currently like huh. Mercy’s problem isn’t her movement it’s her healing making her GA faster she would still be bad. Hog is literally good he’s not even bad.
Wdym hog is bad he is a good tank rn he can get easy picks with his hooks especially after the change of 4 to 3 meters makes him better also his trap is really good to cover your flanks and his breather is a good sustain for midfight when your supports aren’t always focused on you
Flat out Echo DOES NOT have even half of the dynamic movement of Pharah. It sounds ridiculous to even hear that. Literally EVERY cd and passive ability that Pharah has is about movement. Even her main rockets can and are used to maneuver. With the rework her basic hover jets are insane and let you move faster horizontally meaning you can tap them constantly to maintain a low altitude speed boost or change direction much easier. That’s not even mentioning the many mix ups of dash and conc. LOOK I love Both these heroes and play both so I know their differences well. Echo is Definitely superior in burst damage and has more options when it comes to dealing that damage in combos. She’s like a robot wasp who can pop out of the nest or glide down and really just delete most heroes even tanks. However her 1 mobility CD doesn’t give her access to any of the crazy mix ups or general control of the skybox like pharah, even with proper management Echo is just moving in short predictable spurts . In Any 1v1 between pharah and echo the echo will spend more time on the ground and moving at default speed. This doesn’t mean she can’t fight in the air of course but it’s always a decisive action and her ability to “dogfight” is limited to one shot at landing stickies or some crits before she has to glide to the closest landing pad. When people call her a pharah counter I always shrug because unless the situation favors the echo and they have height adv or element of surprise then they can be chased down and deleted by 2 rockets+conc while they float around at walk speed.
To be clear. I Think that Pharah & Echo are both potent and flexible DPS in general. IMO neither one is a “counter” to the other. Rather they both share similar roles and duels between them feel VERY skill and gamesense dependent. It’s a fun matchup too. I’m glad that they added another Flying Hero with their own niche and on the RARE occasions that I can’t make enough impact with one I can flex to the other and have more options without sacrificing the core value of a mobile flyer or having to completely change my mindset or target priority mid-game. Also I’ve found that Echo is AMAZING at breaking stalemates and overtimes with her Ult. It has insane potential and actually increases her chances of living as opposed to Pharahs suicide barrage which has ended all my top killstreaks with her😅
As a junk main I have been saying this for a while, junkrats primary has a lot of unused potential in terms of changes. His primary can deal 80 aoe dmg in a radius smaller than conc mine, and can deal self knockback, but he never gets to use it bc he doesn't choose when his primary blows up, there are ways to set it up to blow up, but it takes so long that it is barely usable. One way to change junkrat for the better would be to make his primary blow up instantly when hitting the ground, would make him be able to use his 80 aoe dmg and selfknockback on the primary, and get rid of the random bounces that make him so frustrating to face at times. That would be the best change he could ever recieve in terms of getting to a much healthier state. Other things that would need to happen for him to be better would be a riptire buff, and a direct dmg buff. His combo should stay on 250 flat, rewarding junkrat for hitting max dmg, but being far from being as easy and abusable as it used to be back before season 9.
