"We don't have a gun problem, we have a crippling culture problem" This is extremely true. It's not a gun problem it's a people problem. The firearm is a tool, nothing more. The person behind it gives the gun its purpose, whether it be hunting, sport shooting, self-defense etc. It's like blaming a pencil for making a spelling mistake.

That's exactly why usa needs a system to control who should be able to own a gun or not. Just some papers and controls about psy state. If americans want to keep their guns they need to accept some form of control. It would greatly help their cause.

That's a good analogy. The gun is a tool but the person behind it is making a mistake in using said tool. Jokes aside for a moment, throughout history it's always been people that's the problem, the gun (the tool) doesn't know right from wrong but people do. I'll always laugh at idiots doing stupid things and immediately regretting it, same with loud mouth, chested-out wackos that get knocked the fuck out I love to see it.

Yeah but now it'll become a legal problem, and the attacker can sue for damages, given the right judge, jury and prosecution, the defending shooter in that last part could get screwed over big time, when I was in high-school back in 2001 or 2002 our dare officers even said if given a choice between shooting to kill or to injure, every one of those officers said shoot to kill, it's less paperwork in the end and there is nobody to testify against you as an injured party, they did stress the fact to avoid unnecessary loss of life but if you feel the need to draw a firearm in fear of your own life then follow through to the end, or don't even think about carrying or pointing a firearm to begin with, the simple act of feeling threatened enough to have to pull a firearm is enough for most cops to understand the loss of life from an assailant, of course they need all the info for reports and stuff, but most generally it is an easy proof of self defense for most situations, it would be interesting to find out exactly how the rest of that evening played out, with cops and legal stuff...

Well, my favorite clip was the last one. Not because someone got justifiably shot, but because the guy defending himself DID EVERYTHING RIGHT. He had a restraining order (which we see did no good), he moved at his own expense across town, he had his carry pistol on him even though it was 5am, and he was telling the attacker to get down and was backing away the entire time. While a rabid DA may still want to charge the guy with some kind of crime because the attacker was known to him (which is what would happen where I live), the camera footage should help any jury decide quickly that the guy wasn't trying to be a hero, wasn't trying to "kill", and wasn't playing cop. He chose at the last possible minute to try and minimize the shot, bringing it down somewhat. Not the best call in my opinion, but it did the job, and he kept himself ready should that not be enough. He did a great job, and I'm hoping that he isn't suffering from the trauma of having to do that.

Many years ago, I attended a play set during the Second World War II. The last act called for the use of a prop gun (which I'm pretty sure was a Makarov), which besides being adapted to fire blanks, was using cartridges downcharged as much as possible (during the very first show, it FTE'd on the second to last round, which was fine, because the actor that was supposed to be fake bleeding was fake bleeding and it was supposed to be empty anyways). In part, it was the relatively small space they had to work in, but even with the reduced charges, it was still astoundingly loud.

I'm not into guns, but I appreciate that the last gun had the gun pointed down (don't point it anything you're not willing to destroy) until the attack was imminent. He could have popped up a shot at any point since the other guy was trying to initiate the fight. I respect that he tried to deescalate and kept the gun down until there was no other choice.

It caused the radar gun to malfunction so they had to get it looked at. When they wrote to the nearby air force base and complained about their radar gun being out of commission, they got a reply along the lines: "Be happy our pilot was quick to override counter measures before the jet could automatically fire a HARM missle at the radar."

The story with the dummy grenade made me remember when I went to Cambodia. There is a army base where you can pay to shoot guns, rocket launchers etc. I payed for a grenade. Because of language problems I wasn't sure if it was real. So the general stands next to me and tells me to trow it at some objesct about 10 yards away. I pull the pin and trhpw it. It makes the hissing sound and the general excitingly tells me to dug. But he's just standing there. So I called his bluff and did'nt move. And it just went, puh! Pop. We all laughed.

Wow.. The last one was by far the best IMHO. Very "educational". I was in that very situation a while back. The guy was madder than a hornet and I had my .45 (concealed). I knew him and didn't want to shoot him (or anyone else) so I was able to just walk away feeling I'd rather be called every name in the book than dealing with the cops in a city park afterwards. Actually good to see what the alternative could look like. Great videos!! Thanks!

He did everything right. The instigator was given multiple outs, but he decided to pick the final one. Also, glad you didn't have to use your gun. I don't think it's ever easy even if you are legally and morally justified.
