The fact that you guys did register for like 5 seconds that they didn’t get the lead was comedy gold, just the sudden “wait, we won?”

In smash we call this spaghetthi moments. When you're so nervous about the outcome of the match you can't make good decisions / play well. Usually happens on last hit / last stock situations, and even top players have moments like this. You can find many compilations of spaghetthi moments in smash when it happens to both players in set defining situations. I guess it's not a term used in the Splatoon community but all that is just to say it happens and that doesn't change anything about all the other matches you played well.

Dude, I respect the hell out of you for putting this set up. A lot of people would’ve had too big of an ego, especially at as high of a level as yours, to go “yeah this set was awful, let’s all sit back and laugh at it together”. Massive props

The set was a nail biter, close, and entertaining to watch. That's literally what all that matters. Not everyone is perfect and no one should be expected to. Kyo doesn't know what he's talking about, as usual.

I understand how easy it is to be frustrated with our own performance, but your+your team's skills (including in this set!) are lightyears ahead of anything I could even dream of achieving... I feel that calling this "the worst match" is a little elitist ngl :/ your team is inspirational, keep being awesome!
