Alright I need to pin a new comment because a lot of you seem to think liking one song and defending said song means your a meat rider of that artist. I listen to a lot of Kendrick, I started listening to Kendrick before I really listened to much drake, but I cant call out his fanbase without being called a meat rider, you do realize by saying stuff like that your just proving you are a meat rider because it shows you cant have one person say anything about Kendrick Lamar if they aren't glazing him. I never said anything about anyone being better at any point in the video. Cant have a civil discussion with some people I guess.
Kendrick fans are on par with Eminem's. They stay slurping on ol boys meat. We all get it. Kendrick is a phenomenal rapper and one of my favorites. You can think other people make good music though. Its okay.

Drake is a generic rapper who appeals to the generic public. You want food, here's McDonald's, that's Drake. The average person will prefer McDonalds over something more rich or organic. Drake represents all the people who are not street, who did not come from a struggle, who feel entitled. So of course he will have more support, what you're seeing is not reality.
Tbh I agree that the drake diss was great even though I’m a WAY bigger Kendrick fan and don’t worry about your TPAB take. It’s understandable as it really is an album with less energy at some points because, well, the topics and lyrics in the album wouldn’t be fitting in a more energetic type of music

Every big artist have "ghostwriters", people just dont understand how the industry works. Drake def writes most if not all of his rapping, the writers credited in his songs are mostly producers or hooks/chorus writers. You can see the credits of any song outlining each writer/producer/interpreter that made it. Most of Kendrick big hits have a bunch of "ghostwriters" too. It applies for both
Nah, you're just misunderstanding writing credits. Just cause you have a writing credit, doesn't mean anybody actually wrote words on your song. They give them to samples as well, and everybody who was on those songs you sampled. Kendricks teams is actually notoriously good at tracking down every mf that contributed to songs he samples and giving them credit. I guarantee, outside of maybe a hook, nobody but Kendrick is writing his verse. Now drake on the other hand, clearly has ghost writers/uses reference tracks. Probably cause one cause about artistic integrity, while the other is more focused on putting out hits.

The problem is, it's impossible to come at this beef through an unbiased lens. Call me a Kendrick meat-rider, but the quality of their discographies (especially everything after views) is NIGHT and DAY, with Kendrick being the clear front runner. So yeah, drakes diss was good, but it's falling on a lot of deaf ears. He has spent years selling out, making the most uninspired pop-slop, and expecting us now to see him as this great rapper? Meanwhile Kendrick, while putting out less, has only put out albums that are clearly inspired, great pieces of art. Not even mentioning the ghostwrites/reference tracks that totally ruin drakes artistic integrity, it just not fair to only look at Kendricks verse and drakes song. There's a broader context, and Kendrick is absolutely far ahead of the competition with it included.
But tbh before the "rap battle" they were very quiet. Atleast I have never seen one anywhere and I also frankly think that beforehand drake fans were worse, just because of the ammount of d jokes, I have seen.
As a Travis Scott meat rider myself, I refrain from going too far on the glazing, but meat riding does have to be genuinely thought about in music as a whole.

Kendrick had that verse for god knows how long and addresses Drake maybe for 5-8 seconds, and his fans are definitely riding his meat. Having a nice little verse doesn’t make you a winner of a rap battle man 🤕.

A few things: this meat riding on kendrick really surprised me since I have never seen it before to that extend it was always usually the drake fans but I guess kendrick does not release often so that makes sense. Another thing as a huge kendrick fan myself liking pretty much all of his discography he really did only do a few bars and drakes diss was not bad, although his main point was that kendrick is short it was still decent for drake who i usually would probably not talk very good about. Kendrick now released a diss too but saying that he was winning the beef before that is just riddiculous its a beef youre not comparing the quality of their discographies but their disstracks it just hurt me seeing the kdot fanbase being a bunch of braindead individuals recently but whatever thats the internet i guess.
