I stopped making “art” a long time ago because I was always unhappy and unsatisfied since I never saw any real progress or being good enough. But I took some time off, and I think I’m ready to get back in it, even if it ends up just being a hobby. It feels good to see that the “failure” feeling isn’t exclusive to me.

I've noticed a lot of artists are moving to bsky or known as bluesky, getting away from Twitter. There seems to be more control on content, which is excellent.

as an artist of multiple different mediums (drawing, pixelart, music (guitar and chiptune covers)) i tend to shift focus between these periodically, and sometimes i'll think that i should've been better already at one thing. but if i look at the bigger picture i immediately stop feeling bad about it it doesn't even have to be a hobby either !! you might not be the artist you wanna be right now but you're probably ahead in some other life skill like being social, studying, discipline, planning etc. this is why you have to look at the bigger picture
