Charging for assets and mods that are normally free, that can only be used on the one server, is worse than EA and Ubisoft charging for cosmetics and emotes. Massive props for refusing $8k to partake in this shit.

They've taken other peoples work and slapped it onto a battle pass/roulette wheel which is targeted at kids and people who are a fan of shit like NoPixel streamer RP. Ontop of that, the prices are fucking asinine, $400+ is just gobsmacking, for something you've never worked on, aside from the UI that they've used and webhosting. Your comment convinced me to forward the server onto some of the mod developer communities and mod makers that they've stolen from; hopefully some form of legal action will take place, or they disable its third party access remotely. Defending these people and what they've done is perpetuating it, and i think you should seriously think about your position and what you are condoning. Its disgusting.

As a former senior administrator from that project, I can say what you've portrayed here is absolutely accurate. The server lost it's RP element 2 years ago. The moment the owners started noticing a huge rise in the profits, they decided to inflate their credit store and the worst part is, their P2W only affects a certain percentage of their players. Cuz the ones that came to play fair and square left to go play in other projects, where donating is worth it. Store credits are supposed to be a way to support the project, but these guys took advantage of this system to inflate their server economy and ruin it for all good roleplayers. Worst of all, their administration grew terrible every single day. From silencing players for speaking out loud about Admin bias, to literally banning them from the project, they've shown nothing but incompetence since the project reached a 1000 players. Even their PR team relies on the income the project makes, rather than their own skill as you might have witnessed. Fun fact: These guys were sued earlier by I guess, Louis Vuitton for using their branding, and this costed them a major setback. Even their lore friendly assets resemble these brands, like come on, get a little creative atleast. All in all, people really need to boycott this project, as it's not just causing harm to other projects on RAGE MP that are just trying to provide a fair RP experience, but also ruining the RAGE MP playerbase in general with multitudes of expectations!

@@ihavecrabs56 it's not as intense as other rp servers, it's more of a fun rp server. It's trash, played it for a bit but over 70% of players are indian and they don't respect the rules at all. Worked as a taxi driver and the radio was 24/7 indian guys talking in their language, when the server states clearly that you need to talk in english. I'm also so exhausted from the harassment these guys do, I could never walk around without one of them coming and saying "oo sexy lady hello where are you going" and following me around. I don't understand why they don't make an indian server so those guys could leave the english server.
@@PaulRakoczi with how much money they make off the average player, it would be a net gain if enough players joined the server. Those types of servers make a LOT of money off players, and I would know because I managed one for a bit. The top donator on the server I managed spent >$4000

This server is not about fun, it's about milking money from goblins and fools who are terrible with money. It wouldn't surprise me to learn the server is a side venture of a scam company out of Hyderabad.
Brother. The license is a 10min test. You don't want to get chased by cops. They are waaaaaay to overpowered anyways. 1. You need to install an anti radar which prevents you from being engine blocked. This costs 100k for 30 days. 2. You need a hypercar with PRO parts everything and fully tuned. You can totally still be chased by cops. It all depends if theyre gonna try to engine block you. Sometimes they dont. The other day we got revenge on a group of hijackers at a highway with my family . We had 3 Jugulars totally maxed full of people. They called the SAHP on us and we were being chased by the FBI. We got away, Despite them having Mclaren P1s.
I haven’t played grp in over a year and a half, but I remember there used to be one guy who spent over 30k on the server, a grown man w kids and a wife
The 8K isn't real they were never going to give that to him, they wanted him to make the video and send it and they would never pay him. From what it looks like to me is that its a server run by Indian scammers try extort money from western players, the server looks dead though which makes sense because the whole thing is basically pay to play and its not even cheap
they caught his attention, got him to make a video on their server, and ultimately that reached people. Quite a few people are bound to go to the server from this video, perhaps to troll or whatnot, but that's still exposure and gets more people coming. I doubt they didn't expect this. Oftentimes admins love when Bub and other popular channels join their server to troll so they get more exposure.

As a guy who enjoys RP myself, you've got fun moments and serious moments. Sometimes people take it too seriously and there's no need, humour can always be found even in serious moments
The most infuriating part is how they removed all the civilians and cars roaming the streets. Did they like think the server would be so full of people that the city would be full? If your audience has the money to spend $600+ on a battle pass then let them, it's their money, anyone that has a high paying job isn't dumb enough to waste money on these servers! i have been looking for a new GTA RP server to play on for a while now but i couldn't help but notice that literally the top 30 servers all have some form of insane tebex store where you can buy cars, houses, jobs, peds and even admin roles for anything upwards of 1000$ like it's actually insane. and as per usual these owners do not pay or file their taxes as i have had a look into their public filing and they just pretend that they don't make money but if they do it is just friendly donations.
FatDuckGaming is pretty promising, but they have recently implemented some pay to win crap, originally it was just queue skip, still worth a try as free to play player.
Did you at least get the 8 Grand? This was a spectacular showcase video, showing everyone on why they should avoid this dogshit server. They owe you, this was top notch work.
I remember the only time I rp'd on this server (rp online as a whole) with another gta youtuber. We got jailed because we kidnapped a cop at gunpoint as a crew. Immediately stopped gta rp as a whole

Thankfully the place i work at only cares if you deliver what you promised. I can finish my tasks for the day, help some of my coworkers and still have like 3 or 4 hours of free time.
im so glad somebody finally made a video about this because i spent a total of 1300 hours inside that server doing nothing but grinding and i got a whole 6 million dollars from it

I used to play this server for 2000 hours before it was a complete money grab, the battle pass used to be free or 30$ and the prime was 10$ I cannot believe how much of a dumpster fire this server has become and the administration knows and never does anything healthy to fix it, I used to suggest things like quality of life and other things for their turfs and events as I used to be a gang leader and stuff and they would say they don’t have enough time to do anything like that but always release a dogwater p2w update now it’s like 1000x worse

The best part of this server are the emails you'll get from random people's names with the subject line "I saw you at the hotel and wanted to say hi" and you only realise it's then once you've clicked the email
i use to play on this server during its launch and it was completely different with decent admins aswell. As soon as their PR Managers started buying out streamers and their followers started rolling in it all went down this weird P2W Rabbit hole. Earlier in the server lifetime there were RP scenarios, great moments, enjoyable well spoken people you could meet that haven’t sank thousands of dollars to become better than everyone else. GrandRP 2021 was an amazing server. sad to see what has happened to it today though
It all went downhill when they dropped server EN 2 and they realized how much money multiple servers make, how people would dump thousands to get a headstart. I was there for it too, I agree with old GRP being great though, some of the best time I’ve ever had playing games
