It's like people reporting their own family members to the thought police. They want favor with the people in power. And anyone who has spent money buying that stuff will feel incredibly cheated.
@@plrusek don't disrespect darkrp players. Only the new ones. Older darkrp players who played in early days are the OGs and no NPCs like them (we don't play anymore)
Bubs if you do dupes on these servers to crash economies, it would be advised to build the stashes months in advance so they cannot simply roll back the server. This is how they fuck minecraft p2w servers. Build stashes over months over multiple accounts, then after a while give them out on different accounts
Noticed how he said "they gave my friend-" because he didn't wanna admit he actually had them, meaning he fully intends on snitching and still profiting off the shit he's crying over
@@chuggingtarthese are the same kind of incels who will talk and say the most toxic stuff to you in games. But the moment you talk back, they will cry to the admins.
He barely understands how artificial and stupid it is for charging for all this pointless bullshit in a gmod rp server, it's literally just a bunch of data and it can be copypasted like any file
These duping trolls have been the biggest game changer to the gmod trolling community, you are actually destroying these greedy communities of scammers and money launders of their schemes and making them go into complete panic that they even banned people who took apart of it without knowing about what happened, instead of roll backing, which shows their true colors and competence. Trolling history has been made here.
@@olivercox2565if it wasn’t for a RU-vid video ideally you’d build a stash over a couple months then spread the wealth on other accounts and then rush the market. So if they roll it back a day or 2 then you still got crazy wealth to keep messing the economy up.
Used to play on this server, Mods and Admins are quite literally children and people who have no life outside of this game and they abuse pretty much anything. Quite happy you've done this bub. Good work.
atomic is the worst server known to man imo. most admins don’t care when the server is being terrorized, and the ones who do never stay as admin. atomic used to be fun.
this might be the best way to hurt these servers so far. youre not just wasting the admins' time and getting yourself banned, youre actually making them fire on all cyllinders and ban everyone lmao
There are Minecraft servers owned by big RU-vidrs that get kids to gamble and spend real money. You should try that sometime, as it would be a new yet similar experience for your channel and will give you other creators to expose.
I played in the super old days when it was just people playing around with physics, attaching balloons to cars. Like 10+ years ago. The monetization is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen.
It just goes to show you how pissed they would be if people like Bub made their server actually fun. I can imagine some weirdo shaking his fist in anger seeing people having fun without spending money.
Bub is a troll, he tries to be morally righteous about it, but at the end of the day he's just a troll. I think it's funny, but a Bub's server would just be an RDM fest and you'd get a similar experience by just joining a server with no admins/mods.
Did they perma a bunch of a people just for getting virtually free overpriced cases? Instead of using their brains and rolling back their inventories? Least power trippy gmod rp admin.
Saddest part is those cases are 100% worthless. And I bet those textures aren't even their own they just took them from the steam mods market or whatever is called
They couldnt even find a fix for the dupe even though they found out the way it works. They literally only have to make an account only be allowed on one server at a time
@@twt591Yeah and there's also a much bigger chance that most of the players who got banned weren't. You should only be banning the players that you know for certain were directly involved.
I love Bub's normal trolling, but this is definitely my favorite so far. Giving joy and benefiting random players while sticking it to greedy pretentious a-holes. Especially if it effects their wallets.
i remember hearing this server being p2w and ping spoofing, their "anti cheat" has a crasher which my safeguards thankfully caught (which also got me banned), so it feels kinda good to see this video lol
I mean, tons of people pay them money. I question the mentality of those that so easily dump their money on so much entertainment in life. Just seems odd to me, but oh well
It applies to anything market using legal tender in the US. I believe the last big thing that had this issue was when blizzard pulled this shit. 100% you could report this server.
@@MerelyMiserable if they are 90% of the time, then i would 100% believe these are fake discounts. When blizzard pulled this shit. They released items that were already marked for discount, and that is a big no no in markets. If you were to report the owners of this server. They would be forced to prove that these discounts are not fraudulent.
@@bizwAs above, that is the initial fix, but also not having the client as the data holder would fix it even if they have two clients connected would fix it... this is such a rookie mistake and ignores that a server should be the one truth.
You do realize they may just rollback the server's database and the damage is undone. You need to setup alt accounts carrying duped items and keep them unbanned and wait a month and then distribute. If they roll back that far back they may just end up losing portions of their playerbase.
Its incredible how quick they are to stop someone giving out paid cases, but will probably neglect actual bugs in the server that aren't related to monetization
They wanted to pay someone $300 to fix this bug? Anyone with any knowledge of servers should be able to figure out how to fix this lol Theses servers are run by idiots
@@deadspace4755Its a syncing issue and they're not checking or validating if the data is consistent across the servers. Whenever an action is done that interacts with their economy server (I'm guessing this is how they're keeping track of player's money) they should be doing a check to ensure nothing has been tampered with or is wrong. If the client and the server are aligned then they allow the transaction, if not they just don't allow it and display an error and maybe log it for later investigation. This check wouldn't be anything complex, just whenever any action is sent to their money server just check if the player's wallet in game equals what is on the server.
Zoomers don't understand anything past touch crap... they couldn't spin up a Linux server if their lives depended on it. Let alone figure out firewall and ports...
@@deadspace4755 I'd probably just do a check on one server to see if the other server has your id attached to it. Like force you to only login to one of them
At 6:44 in the background you can hear the instrumental for the "May the Best Pet Win" song from MLP quietly in background while Bub is reeling from the massacre. Best moment
I only just got thru the Paint explanation and already am super entertained and intrigued. gotta my head phones for the rest I dont wanna miss anything lol
Never stop, I haven’t played GMOD in years due to unfortunate events, it makes me borderline emotional to see what it has become. It was never perfect but it’s just abysmal now
I used to play on this server, made friends with some rather wealthy players, got gifted permanent supporter+, and caused multiple rewrites of the rules. they don't like banning their cash cows.
I don’t think any business likes banning people who bring money in. It’s kinda rare for businesses to even stand up for their staff if it’s a serious account for the business.
'they dont know how to fix it' its a pretty easy fix, they probably just got some free source code that links to a db and selling stuff on it, that makes it even sadder
Beautiful explanation and visuals to describe it. As a software engineer/dev., its terrifying to see how easily something can be cheated like this. Great video.
I destroyed a DarkRP economy by using a "Weed exploit" where the weed vendor gave you unlimited money, then I would go around and give people 1,000,000 for dancing or doing some stupid shit. Good times.
Don't you love It when your corrupted server has rotten your sense of judgement so much that you would snitch on dupers? I refuse to believe they have real friends, as they claimed to their favorite admins.
What's ironic is that "atomic" in the computer programming world is exactly the word used to describe actions that won't break your database if you have multiple programs accessing it at the same time
Bro you're a highlight to a working mans day. Swear to god, when i see your vid, in office or wfh, i always put my headset and turn it on! Keep it up, great video with parkerr, hope you'll have more collabs with him!
this is called a time of check to time of use attack (TOCTOU), common vulnerability check for application developers but since this is gmod microtransactions there is no normal security methodology behind anything
That's like silly economic crime. Gotta stash the duped items for longer somehow, so the meatball admins cannot revert anything. That snitch is absolute meatrider.
