Y’all forgot about the random citizen that comes up, holds out the smart phone and asks, “ could you take a picture of us “? And then become 15 friends and family members to get in the shot, and all the while you’re losing the perfectly lighted shot you’ve waited an hour to capture! LOL, ain’t being a photog fun!!
The “know it all” was a classic! I can’t have them. I only got into photography last March so I have not been able to meet any photographers in real life (Blooming covid) but the internet is full of photographers who think they ‘know it all’!
I feel ya, I've asked how can I get my composition in the picture right. And they started bullshitting on my gears because I used my phone to take pictures...
@@benmorax hearing that pisses me right off!! I just don’t understand the satisfaction someone would get by trying to belittle someone! They obviously have their own inferiority complex so feel sorry for them, if anything! The good thing is, you are still here watching photography on RU-vid 👍🏻 if you do end up getting a camera (or even if you don’t) this RU-vid channel has a photography platform and it is the best photography platform out there so I do highly recommend! Believe me when I tell ya - I have tried them all so go straight to this one if you do decide to get into photography. Also - if you have any questions about photography, I am more than happy to help! Just ask on this thread 👍🏻
Very funny video. Unfortunately, throughout my career, I've come across each one of them several times. Now with digital phone cameras improving, it brings a whole new level of 'intellects' into the picture😁👍
I actually return to this video periodically , because there ARE times when I AM tempted to "intervene " when I see a fellow photographer " struggle " , and a large part of me says " he/she will thank you in the future " , then I remember the chap at the very beginning of this video !!!!

I just luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv the folk who come up to you and criticise your photographic technique ,without ever having seen a single picture of yours , either on the ( DSLR) LCD screen, or as a finished item after ( any ) post photographic tweaks .Another of my pet hates , is seeing folk with poser straps , bags and other marque embellishments on their person, especially if they cosy up to you
I'm not sure what you mean by a "poser strap". I use the strap that came with my camera and it does have the brand name on it, although it is not particularly loud (silver on black). I'm certainly not posing and it had not occured to me that other people would think I was. Some people use brightly coloured wooly "craft" shoulder straps and that's OK with me.
@@dukenukem5768 - " camera brand " camera straps are an advertisement to thieves to grab your gear ( on holiday ), amongst reasons I have found to buy alternatives . I use Op-Tech straps , which are far more comfortable than the provided ( Nikon) straps I got with my ( 2 ) cameras .My ( op-tech ) straps are more than 20 years old , bought when I was still a roll film camera user , so the name has faded years ago , another way of disguising your camera brand on the body itself , is to cover the name ( and model ) with black masking tape .
@@dovidell Surely even if you cover the brand name with masking tape and use a strap without a name, thieves can still see that it is a high end camera (as opposed to a point and shoot) and therefore worth several $100s (if not $1000s) to them, whatever the brand. There is not really any way to disguise it.
@@dukenukem5768 to uneducated thieves , even a bridge camera like the Nikon ( coolpix )P 900 is a " pro " camera , because it " looks the part " .This is one reason why choosing a suitable " thief -proof " strap is so important - I wrap my ( DSLR ) camera strap around my wrist ( several times ) , even when I don't use the camera ( when carrying it casually ).I never loosen the strap , even when showing an image to someone whom I have just photographed . Another thing , in recent years , I have started taking safety shots with my phone camera , and sending them to my e-mail as soon as possible , so at least I have SOMETHING to remind me of this-or-that holiday as a backup . ALSO , My camera bag (Tamrac Adventure 7 ) looks like a standard back pack , not some purpose made camera bag - the gear is easily accessible at a moments notice , AND there is room for a pack lunch/snack in the upper compartment I notice that (on occasion ) Marc uses a smaller format camera , which is far more discreet , and therefore easier to conceal when not in use . ( MAYBE , when my present gear wears out , I'll downsize ) . As I live in a volatile part of the world , sometimes thieves are the least of my worries

yes but it's true that crop sensor cameras are inferior, and a nice prime wide-angle lens looks much better than some kit lens bollocks, and who uses Nikon now? oh no, Cartier-Bresson wouldn't use Lightroom. Anyway I like having 69 focus points on the EOS 5D mkiv. What's up?

@@theschoolofphotography All tongue in cheek comments, taking the Mickey Bliss out of know-it-alls. Love the video, it made me laugh. In fairness though I don't meet many know-it-alls, most people just enjoy their photography but also like to discuss the merits and shortcomings of the technology. By the way I'm a big Cartier Bresson fan & think he didn't manipulate his shots more simply because it was too much trouble in the darkroom.
Loved it the 1st Time around.. But Still a Favourite , know so many people like this that either know it all, no completely nothing.. Definately have come across the All the Gear No Idea Types.. Great Vid Guys. Top Job.. 👌🏼 🤗
