My 8 year old sister looked up kid rock on Apple Music on my moms phone in hope of finding children rock music. Instead she began to play don’t tell me how to live by kid rock at thanksgiving dinner. The look on my grandpas face in horror when he heard the song that was playing was priceless.

The first time I heard Fancy Like was in the Applebee's ad that used it. My thought was "Seriously? Applebee's went bro-country for it's newest jingle, that's cringe". You can imagine my shock and horror when I discovered that no, it was not a commercial jingle. It was an actual song. If I can mistake your song for a commercial jingle, something went terribly wrong.

The worse part about Won't Sleep for me is that it's Tones and I singing about how because she lived in a sharehouse, she was essentially partying through the pandemic with her housemates, which feels so fucking tonedeaf given how many people in Australia were in lockdown dealing with mental health issues and how many people in the music industry in Aus were struggling due to the lack of ability to perform shows.

Important info that needs to get into the public mind is that Elon wasn't 100% bankrolled by his parents. Rather he made his money by, through contracts, attaching his name to projects like PayPal that he had practically no involvement in its invention. He's done the same with Tesla - no engineering feats to speak of, just his name on the company by contract. His parents have more chiropractors in it than engineers (as in no engineers or scientists or inventors whatsoever, but his mom was the first chiropractor in Canada). His origins are actually more Canadian than South African. Tesla was founded in like 2009ish but didn't have any profitable year whatsoever until 2017. The tech is barely functionable and they've had instances where the only way they were able to meet quotas was under building cars under literal tents outdoors. He's anti-union and as such stunts like those skirt any kind of worker protections. His one invention is the first of likely many ponzi stock companies. Stock and share trade with a company that basically doesn't make anything. And what it does make kills people or combusts in a lithium fire that conventional fire fighters can't put out without special technology. It's important to know this because the only way Tesla keeps afloat is because people think he's a savior or an evil elite. Both these sensational views lead stock gamblers to believe he and Tesla are the most futuristic, ever evolving political front-page news. In actuality he's a fucking clown. An idiot who can barely tie his shoes and just gets royalties and fame-fueled riches from slapping his name on things. If people realized he was a fraud not because he's an evil Batman but because he's a fucking joke then he'd fall into obscurity

I dont think Player of Games is about Elon Musk - she talked about, in her one of her livestreams, that she had a non-public relationship with a popular gamer (some kind of twitch streamer or professional gamer I guess) which she wrote Idoru about, so I'm assuming that this song is inspired by that as well. Also, i think this went on concurrent with being with Elon Musk, so maybe they are non-exclusive or polyamorous or however you describe it.

MGK definitely had the wrong idea about what punk actually is in Papercuts and all his other new pop punk music. He referred Misery Business by Paramore as the song that got him into punk culture which is extremely laughable. He needs to go to a Leftover Crack show and rethink his influences. That being said, I think Papercuts is very catchy and filled with emotion that I can relate to. Not very punk at all, but an earworm in the best way.
