You know season 7 is a good season when the “worst” tattoos are better than some “best” tattoos in other seasons

I’m so glad that Ron, Sausage’s canvass, stuck up for him. It was a bad to put that tattoo on a skin that is soft and fragile and on the ribs. That’s difficult.

I always hate how people try to diss Sarah for being ‘emotional’, as if the other artists aren’t acting like massive babies trying to tear ach other down and getting angry at everything, but I guess anger isn’t an emotion. Somehow emotions aren’t allowed when it’s a woman expressing them and it’s something other than bitter anger.

Sarah is the only person in the world that can say nice things angrily

Damn Ron is a cool dude for standing up for Sausage. Plus Sausage is such a nice respectful dude.

It's funny bc Sarah's healed tattoo actually looks great, which begs the question; if that dark of a tattoo healed great, how are the light tattoos surviving?

So Sarah Miller’s Bill Clinton tattoo healed so great. I mean just google how it healed… It’s dark, but it healed so well that you know that all the other lighter tattoos that look healed on the show all washed out. Sarah Miller really knows her tattoos, especially portrait tattoos. I am so glad that her canvas came back and smacked the judges around for her elimination on Redemption because it’s honestly the best, best, *best* tattoo, especially portrait, that I’ve seen on this show. The judges always complain about longevity, but she put that tattoo in there and it held up extremely well..

If I was a canvas I would NOT like to hear my artist freaking out and being nervous. I’d be tempted to jump out the chair and not have a disaster on my skin

I live in Pittsburgh where Sarah Miller is from and based. Ever since being on the show, she now requires a $500 nonrefundable deposit and has a waiting list of almost a year.

Sara’s Clinton will heal beautifully. I have two portrait that i got almost 10 years ago steal looks bulletproof. Ink Master should have a healed series.

Honestly…even if the judges think it’s a bad tattoo, doesn’t really matter when it comes to the actual canvas. If the canvas likes it then that’s all that matters. After all it’s on their skin and at the end of the day, all that counts is they love their new tattoo.

I've gotta laugh at the judge acting like Cleen's snake with the dagger coming out of the skull is novel and creative. That design is super common and stereotypical! We literally had it on our youth centre wall when I was a teen. Even then it was a commonly seen motif.

i feel like a person who's not a tattoo artist wouldn't really notice any of the small detail mistakes. me personally i wouldn't really notice in my day to day life if my tattoo is slightly different than a painting or a picture. maybe that's just me though

Bad or not, this show made me fall in love with the art of tattooing. So many artists have been so strong!! It’s a shame the judging has become so complicated and produced.

Jesse's imagination and skill, the way he works with colors is just unreal. Also, he always does big pieces fully saturated with color and they're just perfect

If I was a tattoo artist being tasked to do a portrait, I’d request they bring the pic they want done, but also an array of pics of that person which all help towards really capturing not only their image, but bits of their best personality traits. That lets you become more familiar with the person whose face you’re tattooing so you don’t miss the mark.

The thing that makes this competition hard is that most complex tattoos take a few sessions, and in this competition they only get like 6hrs. Which I can see why some artists struggle.

It’s kinda sad that the tattoo artists are so much more concerned with dragging each other down rather then doing the best work they can do.

The Bill Clinton one actually looked good healed. The problem is I think Cleen or Jime should have gone home over Sarah. And I also gotta say I actually really liked Jime's dragon tattoo.

the funny thing is these worst tattoos in Ink Master are WAY BETTER than all the tattoos in Miami Ink back then lol... except for Chris Garver dude is a beast.

I'm shocked at the judge's reactions to the hearts. These were meant to be photo realistic. Cleen's is not what a heart looks like (the other isn't perfect, but is closer to reality). If it's meant to be photo realistic you've got to get it right. That is not what that part of the heart looks like. He's taken way too much artistic licence in something that is meant to be a realistic representation, yet the judges didn't even mention it! I'm guessing the judges don't have a clue what a real heart looks like, and didn't even check!

I feel like the reason a lot of portrait tattoos come out bad is because the artist tries to replicate every wrinkle in the persons face and shade it in which makes for an ugly tat most of the time. The best portrait tats I’ve seen is where they don’t emphasize the lines as much and use color or light shading to shape the face. It almost looks more graffiti-ish than 100% realistic but it looks far better IMO

Sarah Miller is a great tattoo artist but when she gets anxious and starts to worry too much is where she screws up. She doesn’t seem to cope well.

It’s crazy in how Many of these videos where an artist is like this is my specialty, I’m going to have the best tattoo! To then cut to a judge saying what were you thinking? This is horrible and that’s why you’re in the bottom tree getting ready to pack your things

I think Cleen did a good job for someone who doesn't do portraits at all. I'm a huge fan of Cleen though lol.

A thing I have to remember about this season is during filming Christian WORKED at Sausage's tattoo shop. Sausage was his boss and he tried to screw him at every turn and laughed about it with Matti who was Sausage's rival and in every confessional.

Honestly the coverup of the hate tattoos made me really happy. Everyone exicted to cover it up was great.

It sucks that this competition pushes people to hope their peers put something on someone's skin that lasts forever...that sucks. And they go out of their way to try to make that happen

Anthony vs Jesse ....man I think both of them are amazing artists but in this challenge, for Jesse to come up with a crazy, unique, creative piece like that, I think it's awesome and I really think he should've gotten it. It was clean and well done.
