god this sounds so hectic!! i’ll definitely help out a mom in need the next time i’m in an airport, never considered these things before i watched this video
I had a similar experience when i travelled with my baby, solo. But i couldn't get the promised assistance by Indigo. Thankful to an amazing elderly lady who helped with so many things! If not for her i wouldn't be able to manage my travel with an infant
Omg!! Also how is it that it’s always someone elderly or someone who needs help themselves who are most likely to help 🥲 everyone else is in their own worlds
Omg…I can’t even imagine how you got through that….and there’s nothing so heartbreaking as your baby sobbing and wailing. Thank god for helpful airline staff and helpful people. I’m so glad that you all got back home to India safe and sound after all that chaos
Sorry to hear about your experience. I have been living in Singapore for 12 years now. Mother of a 5 year old and 3 week old… few tips for all travellers who are new born mom 1. Singapore is the most mom friendly country, the airport has many nursing rooms, every toilet area has diaper changing unit 2. When travelling in the airport, loose the stroller and invest in a baby carrier 3. Always opt for Singapore airlines, pump some milk (the air hostess will keep the milk in the fridge and warm it up when baby is hungry. Same applies for formula) Always baby carrier + trolley diaper bag is the key to success
omg i remember seeing your reel asking about info and i just wished yall have a smooth experience w a baby and a pet dog...my heart ached as a previous pet parent seeing him in a carrier :") im glad yall reached back safe after that agonizing experience!
I am so sorry for your experience ! I was equally stressed listening to your story! Thanks for sharing the “ thermostat “ policy -- which is something one would have never known. Praise God for Hid provision and safety through it all !!❤
Why Air India is a very valid question. Like you, I thought Tatas would revamp the airline but staff that is lazy as hell will never allow change to come through (thanks to trade unions). I just flew Air India yesterday and I was sweating at 35,000 feet! What an ordeal you had! Glad angels paved your way despite it all. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
your videos are always so good and brings such a positive vibe when I watch em✨🦋❤️ kuddos to you for making amazing content and I hope your baby and dog doing good. best to you satshya❤️
Sorry, but booking with Air India when you have the option of taking Singapore Airlines is not the wisest decision. I am sorry you had to go through it.
I hope you know there are many aspects that affect a flight. They probably booked it because it was matching with their schedule or budget or arrival time. As she said, a 5 hour flight scheduled to move around 5:30 am. Maybe they wanted to land in the morning? It’s not their fault, they can’t see the future either 🙂
@@bhavyasaxena_ You mean well, but its a well know fact Air India has been going through a lot of changes. it should only be natural for people to do their research and modify as needed. Come on lets be real here.
AirIndia and Indigo are budget friendly, meanwhile SNG Air is a costlier. I believe there is a differnece in the frequency as well. I have travelled with Indigo and SNG Air before but never with AirIndia. I would personally prefer Indigo over Air India as they allow Single bag weighing around 30KG for checkin, meanwhile it's 23 for Air India. If you know the difference between local buses VS AC coach in India, that's usually the difference and you notice alot more difference in the airport itself starting with the self checkin Kiosks. (They don't exist)
I never comment on RU-vid videos but I just had to tell you that every video of yours feels like a heartfelt conversation with an older wiser sister. You came across as such a genuine wonderful person and this entire ordeal makes me wish I could give you a warm hug rn. Here's to hoping the rest of your transition to India goes smoothly❤
I teared up seeing this..I know how it feels seeing our baby cry and feeling helpless.... This entire anxiety is the reason we mothers think twice before travelling long distance with new borns..and in such situations it becomes further more difficult..kudos to you for handling it so well..🫂
satshya 1st of all its realy good that u reached here safely ,thanx for sharing this video, realy very helpfull,i like the way u r talking very matured and also kind,tk cr urself and ur baby..😍
Oh man, what an ordeal . It is true that God puts us in strange situations when we least expect it. Loads of love to all of you, extra kisses to Tara and Tonu.❤from Sullia .
I feel for you. I am so sorry to hear what you went through. My husband and I went through some really bad experience with Air India ourselves. The same happened with my brother and some of our friends. I would personally never book Air India and would suggest the same to everyone.
Sorry you had to go through so much. I did not see your prev reel but I travelled with my newborn ~6 times within India and I carried her in baby carrier(kolkol adjustible). Babies are usually calmer when closer to the mother, so they dont cry much. She is 1.5 years now and I hardly used the stroller even for walks. I see stroller as the most useless purchase I made.
Hi Satshya, sorry you had to go through such a terrible situation. I have heard only negative about AirIndia flights and it is sad that the airline is not taking any action to improve their flights and policies even after several negative reviews. About travelling alone with baby, I agree that it is a hectic situation but somethings can be made smooth by using a good baby carrier, that way your baby will always be close to you which makes the baby feel safe and comfortable their first six months, also both your hands will be free. Also only diaper bag when travelling with baby, no other luggage. So these are two things that can make it a little easy, if ever you need to travel in the future. Good to know that your husband and pet joined you finally after the initial struggle.
Hi.. I can totally understand what you went through travelling with baby. I have travelled with my lil girl all alone just a few days after my delivery. You can book assistance of the airlines you travel with.. they assist you through the entire process then till your aircraft both at arrival and departure.. n it’s totally free of cost. You just need to state the reason and rest is totally taken care of by the airlines.. n it’s free of cost. Hope it helps..
I can feel u and kudos to u were travelling with baby who is less than year.... Travelling with a toddler is even more difficult bcz they have temper tantrums that too in a midnight flight.... The airline staff were so helpful and that was not an indian airline company.
So sorry you had to go through this. I feel you. Travelling with a baby of any age is difficult. A small helpful tip could be while travelling to put the baby in a body carrier instead of a trolley. I understand it will be difficult carrying that weight for long, but baby will be super comfortable being so close to your body and will sleep or be calm most of the time. I suggest an cloth wrap or a carrier like the ergobaby carrier. I have used both and it was so comfortable. Still use it for my 2 year old son. God bless you :)
Ohh, i remember flying with my daughter who was an infant then. It was a short 45 minutes domestic flight but i had absolutely no help. It was air india too, and all i got were snide comments from the crew. That was the day i decided to never fly air india, ever again. If domestic itself was so bad, i could only imagine what international travel would feel like. Good riddance!
My first travel with my kid alone was Singapore to India... She was slightly older but it's never easy... 2 things I feel would be helpful is 1) carry only a backpack both hands needs to be free 2) carry ample snacks and toy/ books which the kid likes to engage them...
Omg, this whole experience feels so helpless. So traumatizing, I can't imagine how you handled it all so well. The power of motherhood, tho. Next time, you can also look out for a prayer room in case you don't find a feeding room. So nice of all those who helped you.
Hello Satshya omg i can completely relate this i shifted from India to Bangkok 2 weeks back alone with a child and an infant.. My hubby had already shifted last year.. Its so so so painful when kids cry and dont cooperate my lil one slept throughout the flight but before and after that was horrible thanks to an Indian family who helped for the baggage claim.. I couldn't get assistance.. Omg i had to take a painkiller immediately when i boarded the flight.. Worst part it was second day of my period too.. I could feel your tears.
hey.. you will get better travelling with baby .. believe me.. just plan ahead .. like many airline gives facility assistance to special needs.. who could have ascorted you at the time of boarding.. 2nd point all babies cry so dont ashamed what people will think.. let them think .. 3rd point at the time of take off and landing feed her so that it will ease her ears pressure
Most of the airports have feeding/changing rooms. And whenever airport staff see a solo parent with infant/toddler, they jump into action to help out. Can never complain about that.
Air india has such weird stuff . My sons passport expired during the covid and they said that we cant travel back to india . So embassy opened only for us to renew the passport in 3 hours . Then we could travel. The policy is that you can travel back to home country even if the passport expired with no transit within a year .air indian staff did not know that .
The thermostat not working in the hold is a really common problem, airlines mostly put cargo there and don’t bother maintaining the split cargo area. My mom used to be a pilot for United Airlines and accidentally froze some prize racehorses of a UAE Sheikh flying from the US to Dubai for a race. She has hundreds of stories of animals freezing, so common that despite being an animal lover she’s ambivalent about it as if it’s a regular occurrence. There is one airline my mom said is really really REALLY good about being pet friendly, it’s not just PR and they absolutely guarantee 100% any size dog or cat in the cabin (as long as it fits in the standard soft crate etc), and that’s the Dutch national carrier KLM. She never worked for them but she said when she had to do layovers and fly with them between airports and saw they always had pets onboard and the crew loved pampering them. They also fly to India and Singapore… That said she wouldn’t recommend them for anything else other than flying with pets.
Hey, I really wish we had met before you moved. I would have told you all this. Whenever travelling with a baby, travel in the airlines which has its head office in that city. Like SA for SG, Malaysian Airlines for Kuala Lumpur etc. That way, they are better geared for emergencies. Changi is one of the best airports in the world & nowhere else you get feeding rooms like here. Also, there is a Changi app which helps you locate facilities like toilets/feeding room etc. Contrary to popular belief, people always help a single mom who is travelling. I travelled with my toddler alone from Bombay to Chennai who screamed & brought the roof down at Mumbai Airport travel. This was some 10yrs back when facilities were even less. Everyone helped me. Glad you all are safely settled in Delhi. Trust me, after sometime, you will be able to even joke bout this experience even though it is traumatic now. All's well that ends well. PS: you will DEFINITELY get an opportunity to pay forward the love you received. I do it all the time. The best feeling is to give without any expectation of return benefits. Take care!
i travelled alone from germany to india on a 9 hr flight and had a terrible experience, literally no help with the ones sitting beside me staring at me whenever i fed or the baby cried. heavy baggages, airline rejecting the stroller and making me walk a kilometer to drop it off. in the ehavy baggage area. i really could imagine the pain when you mentioned everything
Hi i am so sorry abt ur experience. I too moved from SG to India and flew AI becuz it was the tail end of Covid and only Vande Bharat flts were operating. I too flew with a dog but thankfully my daughter was a teen. My experience with AI was completely opposite of urs. At Changi my Coco started creating a racket in his carrier, i was near tears thinking what is going to happen. AI was amazing the ground staff spoke with the pilot and got permission fr us to take Coco in cabin. Gave us seats at the back of the plane, leaving seats nearby empty. Coco is a small dog so he just sat on my lap and slept thru most of the flt. I am eternally grateful to God and AI staff fr all the help they gave me
I had a very bad experience flying domestic in Air india and they have become more and more worst - so the day I had this terrible experience. I complained on all of their Social media handles, no reply and then on Twitter, I found each min 1 complain is coming from someone who has flied on airindia on their page and I'm not even exagggerating. The same day, among the huge number of complaints put on Social Media, one man's luggage bag was lock broken and the bag was opened and cash was stolen by AirIndia. I stopped booking AirIndia after that and am still in that trauma of that experience which happened with me, don't think I'll be able to forget that ever.
The stories i have heard about pets on airlines. Majority i saw said "NEVER ever let your dog travel in that cargo NO." even if good facility provided by any airline. just no. dont trust any airline whether the best or average or whatever!!!! Try your best to take them with you in the flight get em a seat or even if not just hold em idk if allowed but never. We know its expensive as people who cant afford much during travel its already a lot of expense, so THIS is one of the reasons people just avoid taking them to flight (and ofcrs having a place where dogs might not be allowed or how who will look after them at another place, and yeah if they know airline facility then ofcrs they wont, etc etc) , even for a month or 2 travel they leave the pet with someone , or if they dont then at a pet car. So there is not much UK PUBLIC LEARNING about THIS specific situation as it happens rarely and so airline staff (Specially the worker who dont have specialisation and are there to just lift, dont know how to handle pet luggage) might not even know this can happen and have some guidance for that or facility AT ALL STAGES of boarding to landing. But still try your best even in international flight to seek some way of having pet with u or safe transport. Cause the stories were so bad, the rough handling of pet with those luggages were awful, MOST IMPORTANTLY THE ATMOSPHERE THEY GET THERE, SUFFOCATED IN THE BACK OR LOWER SIDE OF PLANE WITH literally nothing but really small place. ITS BAD. Very few even said the cage of the pet was DAMAGED while pet was there when it came out like imagine!!! also i have seen BIG ASS FLUFFY dogs on plane , i think thrice big as yours lol (idk if it was an international flight) but yeah that dog even has a personal insta acc i guess really famous dog, its huge white fluffy and travelled on flight in normal economy seats. so i guess there MIGHTTT be some flights like that but if not then cant help , they gotta travel . But hopefully we get to see better services in future.
@@checkmateyourhighness1047 ya I really wish there was a provision for bigger dogs to travel in cabin but unfortunately it’s only available in Europe & US. The only other option was a private jet which we couldn’t afford 😭
Aww poor thing you guys had to through all this! I can understand. I’m very curious to know how is Tonu adapting in India? Did he have any cultural shock lol! Just want to know how is he liking India so far???? Tell us about it
Hi in air india nothing works not just the thermostat we fled recently from India to US the tray tables were broken, the entertainment was not working.. air india standards have gone down very badly hope change happens soon
I assume with her having a baby and being on maternity leave, it made more sense to move back home where she would have more support from her in-laws for raising her baby.
I had the worst experience with Air India while traveling with my infant. The flight got rescheduled at the last moment and our connection flight was only available the next day. They were not even ready to provide us accommodation when we landed in Delhi. And I am sitting there with my 4 month old waiting for the staff to come 😢😢 and he was sitting there lazily and the security would not even let us go through to talk .. I had to wait for so long to get the accommodation.. The worst experience in my life

travelling with a pet without what sounds like little to no research was on you girl. I know you are a new parent and have a lot on your plate. My sympathies are with you.
Air India in general is probably one of the worst airlines, but their negligence & nonchalance in your case was just infuriating. Hope they atleast refunded the amount to you...
Thats quite an experience to have with a baby and a pet...I could feel helplessness showing up but the best part is when you called upon the LORD JESUS and He surely doesn't disappoint ... PRAISE GOD for everything coz you never know when you will turn to be a blessing, it only comes by receiving a blessing that you value being a blessing to others... things we as a Child of God learn :)
