Honestly I have like, the opposite opinions that you do, I enjoy watching a fight with drunk dudes screaming, some dude crying cuz he put his mortgage on Belal by knockout, and two dudes trying flying arm bars in the corner, it honestly sounds like you just want everyone to sit down with a cheese plate and a non alcoholic beer and silently watch the full card occasionally striking up brief conversations about a fight without mentioning anything but that specific fight

I’d say I’m somewhere between the couch commentator, autism, blue belt . But the benefit I have is I know I am insufferable to a lot of people when watching fights and find most other people even more insufferable, so I watch fights on my own. When I watch fights with people, I am easily the most experienced in both training and actually being a fan, so I will answer questions like “why doesn’t he just do this” or “what’s this guys deal”

I feel like I'm a mix of some of these lmao. I can see myself being the annoying commentator guy when I watch the UFC with my friends who don't watch it usually and then I try to showcase my knowledge by commentating and explaining what the fighter has to do and similar things. I can see how that's annoying lmao. But the livingroom boxing partner is definitely one of the worst, I have a few friends that watch the UFC but don't know shit and then they keep talking about it and showing movements with their hands what they would do if they were in the fight. I do think the worst by far are the people who don't know anything or don't even watch it that much and then keep trying to sound smart by disagreeing with you for no reason other than to disagree
I train in MMA and there’s been a couple times where a guy from my gym had the fights on a projector and had mats to spar and roll. It was really fun plus I like to take little bits of different fighters games.
