I’ve listened to these two for over 25 yrs. I agree with all of their teachings. I have a very strong conviction in my heart that the vows I made, 46 yrs ago tomorrow, to God and to my husband is unbreakable. My husband was committing adultery for about 15 years all while he was very active in the church. God exposed my husband’s infidelities over 8 years ago. He was in a 2.5 year physical affair with a girl half his age. Within a few weeks God exposed 2 additional lengthy affairs. All of the affairs were in the span of 13 years. I am still waiting for my heart to heal. I felt God wanted me to remain in my marriage and my husband agreed. He was remorseful towards God. I never felt he was remorseful towards me. He was in love with this girl that he was having an affair with. It’s been over 8 years now ad I am very miserable. All of these teachings, I have tried. I prayed for my husband for so many years as he was on the wrong path and he knew God. So he knew he was in deep trouble with God. I think the fact that he did all of this while being very active in the church was just as hurtful as the infidelities. He was a fraud and had everyone fooled. I can no longer pray for my husband. He is still rejecting me as he has told me he is not interested in having a sexual relationship with me. He claims men his age do not desire sex. He is either lying to himself or he thinks I am a fool. I am NOT a fool. He is not meeting any of my needs. The only need he is meeting is financially and to be honest, I can support myself financially. He has no idea of the excruciating pain he has brought to my heart. I cannot understand how a man can read his Bible, attend church faithfully and continue to reject his wife that has stood by him through such embarrassment and pain. A counselor questioned me asking me if I was trying to be a martyr. I most definitely am not!! I am honoring the covenant I made 46 years ago tomorrow.
