The Worst Zelda Game Ever?

Out of all the Zeldas, the ones I've had no real interest in playing are the the handheld ones (Besides Links Awakening) and Skyward Sword. Those seem like the worst ones to me. Ocarina and Link's Adventure hold a special place in my heart because those were the two Zelda games I really remember getting into. Links Adventure on the Gold Cart on NES I remember playing so much and not knowing what to do. LOL. Ocarina I remember renting it all the time when I finally got an N64 as a kid and each time starting over because some kid would delete my file. Majoras Mask is awesome as well. I never played it much but I got bored and watched Game Grumps playthrough it. LOL Great video Rect!

I knew what game it was before clicking on it and I still watched it, 10/10 To much water!

Gaming mechanics are the reason i ha e to have Mommy drinks when playing scrap mechanic, why I stopped playing Lost Ark, and the travel time taking up 50+ percent of gameplay time is why I stipped playing No Man's Sky. When you cant skip dialogue for every encounter over the same things is why I stopped playing animal crossing along with the loading every single section of the map.

When Wind Waker was released on Gamecube I finished it and enjoyed it a lot, but I didn't play it again. I was 23 years old. Now I'm 43 maybe the same thing will happen to me and I won't enjoy it like 20 years ago

Being an extreme introvert, I love the empty setting in BotW/TotK and Wind Waker 😆 - but I utterly hate the new Zelda games as the gameplay is far enough removed from how Zelda games historically played that they should have been a new IP, just like what happened with Devil May Cry/Resident Evil. Capcom recognized that the RE game they were making was too different to call it an RE game, so it became DMC. Nintendo simply lacked the same sense. These new games are new IP adventure games that have no business being called 'Zelda' games.

I was wrong. I seriously expected you to just rant about zelda 2 because like, every youtuber does that. But i respect your opinion on windwaker. I love the game, but if we all liked the same things, the world would be boring.

I feel like the original Legend of Zelda was a product of it's time, being that if you didn't play it when it first released you wouldn't like it anywhere near as much as you would have back then. I'm one of those people that never had an NES as a kid therefore never had the chance to play Zelda back in the day. For that reason I never knew much if anything, about the Zelda games. The first game I played was A Like to the Past and I absolutely loved the game that much it's one of my favourite games of all time. I skipped the N64 as I sold it once I had played both Mario 64 and Goldeneye so I missed both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. I later tried to play Ocarina of Time via emulation and I really couldn't get into the game at all. I don't know what it was I just couldn't get into it. I still haven't played a Zelda game that comes anywhere near close to A Link to the Past other than A Link Bewteen Worlds.

And of course it's Windwaker....😂As much i appreciate your opinion...I loved WW!! It was my fave on Gamecube and was absolutely into the game when i first played it. I still love it to this day with the HD Remaster.

Very good video, this is personally my 4th favorite Zelda game but I respect your opinion and can see where you’re coming from with your criticisms.

I actually haven't played Wind Waker or the other Zelda games that you mentioned disliking. Considering that I have played those awful CD-i Zelda games, I am now morbidly curious to try those other ones to see how they compare to what I have experienced as Zelda at its worst. 😆Zelda is a series that I really need to catch up with because while I have played and loved the earlier and the later games in the series, I have missed a lot of middle-era Zelda and I want to make it a point to play a lot of those games. What I have played in the series is from the original game up through Ocarina of Time and from Skyward Sword up through Tears of the Kingdom. While Metroid and Fire Emblem are my favorite Nintendo series, what I have played from Zelda at its best is pretty close in quality and I still consider A Link to the Past to be one of the greatest games that I've ever played. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are also among what I consider to be the best modern games. Would you consider making a list of what you consider to be the best and most essential games in the Zelda series? That might be helpful for those wanting to explore the series to know which games to prioritize to get the best Zelda experience.

I thought Majora's Mask was the one you hated most. It's my least favorite, so it got me thinking it was yours as well. This also makes me wonder what you think of the Oracle games.

I, for one, won’t castrate you for hating Wind Waker. I, too, hate Wind Waker. Other than its cell shaded art style, I can’t say anything nice about that game other than it was a chore to play. Only Zelda game that I have played in my life that I seriously didn’t like.

Wind Waker was really tough going back to. I still like it, but was surprised at how underwhelming it was from a gameplay perspective. Also - BEARD GONE! Takes a moment to get used to haha.

Man that’s surprising that you hated wind waker, it’s an Ok game for me but very overrated. I have a Zelda that I hate that everyone likes and it’s oracle of seasons.
