I loved the explanation of the dammer diker, all of its intricacies and what it's purpose is since I am not familiar with potato farming. You do a fantastic job of that as well as the excellent drone clips at the end. You instantly get a sub from me and I feel I will be learning lots more from you about spuds and how they are farmed. And that accident was horrific!! I am certainly glad that no one was hurt any worse and are ok after that.

New viewer and I think your videos are awesome. Coming off a small farm as a kid in the 70s and 80s we grew potatoes in our large garden and it was a lot of work for the few bushels we produced each year. It is amazing at the technology you employ and the sheer volume of potatoes you are able to produce each year. In this video I'm glad you weren't hurt but that was a scary accident. No doubt the driver had a cell phone in their hand at impact.

I'm from Australia and just had you pop up into my feed. I have grown up on viticulture and broad acre dryland farming so was very impressed in the machinery. I don't know how you light your tractors when driving on the roads, but here you are supposed to have rotating beacons operating. maybe a good investment if you don't already use them. stay safe and keep farming.

Glad you included the wreck footage I had watched the old video of it on you play list. I never had GPS but I loved cultivating spuds, sugar beets are much harder to do, first time through you had about 3 inches or you were destroying beets. We called that cultivator blight. One year we were harvesting beets and Bill was saying how crooked the rows were. Jose who had planted them just said "More beets per row!"

Some people are complete idiots, I was pulling a rod weeder that I bought from a farm auction home with my l9000 Ford grain truck, and was crossing a bridge, and got over as far as I could, and these people were at a stop sign cross road, and instead of waiting 20 seconds for me to cross the bridge they came on the bridge with me, and I was inches from scraping the side of the bridge with the shanks, and these idiots literally drove towards the center line of the road, and the shanks on the drivers side of the rod weeder, drug down the entire vehicle and shredded the vehicle, I told the police what happened they told the guy in the other vehicle that he was an idiot and that they were reporting that the accident was his fault, and I didn't hear no more, I did a Lil welding, put 3 new shanks on, and to this day I still summer fall with that rod weeder. During soil preparation do you use deep ridge or not or only cultivated by dammer dyer after potato planting i like your GPS system which is too much effect it works good does gps use on any tractor or different tractors have different gps system do you spray weedicide or not and your drone shots are amazing you are good person that you realize the disadvantage of the accident of the previous year of the dammer dyer you take too much average 550 sacks every year you get yield below or above 500 or only previous year

We use a chisel plow to do our field prep before planting. All of our tractors have GPS that is John Deere brand, but I’m pretty sure all brands of tractors can get GPS through their dealers.
