Hi mate, they are all good apart from the second one in the video, the freefall down the hill. The third one is my favourite, it is proper intense and goes on forever. I usually finish with one of the ones on the eastern side as the final trail back down to the road is a great way to wind down and you descend almost all of the hill off road. You do off the Western side too but then have a mile or so of road back to the cars. Have fun 👍
He doesn't look fit but yeah, he's a bit of a powerhouse 👍 This was his third day on the trot with two more to follow (both big days). Spoke with him on the Tuesday and he said he felt fine. I would have been a physical wreck 😃
Awesome vid! I'm up there most weekends just lately trying to figure out all the routes down. To ride it at that speed without knowing the path takes a lot of skill.. and bigger balls!
Thanks mate. It's such a fantastic hill to go biking on, I really wish I had something like it on my doorstep as I imagine that if you rode it a lot, you would progress so damned quickly - most other places must seem quite tame in comparison 👍
Thanks James. I never got the chance to meet Jimbo in person but we chatted a fair bit and were organising to ride in the Lakes together. Such a sad loss.
What a great place, the trails look steep as hell even on camera, and anyone who knows the GoPro knows what that means. Great riding and as always a fantastic video. Keep up the good work and have fun buddy. Ride on and Cheers
I remember that video, wasn't that our introduction to Paul the Postie? It's definitely quite a challenging surface. I'd be hard pressed to pick whether I prefer it wet (as it was when we rode it in December) or dry. It took less effort to clean the bike and kit after this one for sure 😃👍
@@Stopadoodledoo you can’t always ride them perfectly, too many variables that can change a trail but you always attack them, it’s great to watch, even when you mess it up 👍🏻
Scares the crap or of me this place, crazy steep! Lovely touch to remember Jimbo also, true king the Wrekin 👍🏼 Great video, crazy riding by you both, poor tree 🤣 hopefully we get to ride with Twelve one day as well.
Cheers mate, such a great (but scary) place to ride. You'll get to ride with Twelve at some point. It's drinking with Twelve that we should really be scared of though 😂
@@Stopadoodledoo I love it us basically lirtkng these two against each other without their knowledge, we will be sitting back and enjoying this one whilst we pace ourselves 🤣
The second one you went down was The Goatie, its pretty much the most direct way to the top for walkers/runners. Fair to you for going down it in such loose conditions
@@Ruffest Nah, tubeless mate although I do run my tyre pressures quite high (23 front, 27 rear) - legacy of riding in the Lakes for so long and hating pinch flats 👍 You'd love it there mate. There's even some stuntramps at the bottom of the big side 😃
If ever there was evidence of the GoPro not showing how damned steep something is, it's that freefall down that slope. It was bloody mental, pull your brakes on and you just sped up so all you could do was use them to try and steer where you thought you wanted to go. I don't think I would go down that one again as although it was 'interesting', you lose all your height really quickly with a constant feeling that you are going to crash 😂
@@Stopadoodledoo Credit to you mate for exploring and looking for new stuff to ride. Right with you regarding the GoPro footage, I can tell its bloody steep though, lol ;-) Jason, your vids are an absolute pleasure to watch, you're a cracking rider, the commentary is ace and entertaining as fook. Keep 'em coming mate. We appreciate them.
