The xx - Teardrops (They're gonna be huge in 2009) Posted this 5 years ago, never though they will be THAT BIG (kidding) P.S. where's my signed t-shirt ?
I was wracking my brain trying to find it last night, it was just vaguely stuck in my head, then I remembered it wasn’t by Haim but by The XX…and then the struggle to find it began.
ok wow I heard this when they first covered it and guess what! It’s 2021 and it’s still the best version of this song (apart from the original) love this forever
The amount this band has blown up is amazing. So happy about it. I remember this being the first song I heard by them 4 years ago; and I love it just as much as I did then.
Whenever I hear goodbyes, reminds me baby of you I break down and cry, next time I'll be true, yeah Fever for lost romance reminds me baby of you And I took a crazy chance Next time I'll be true, I'll be true, I'll be true, I'll be true Footsteps on the dance floor reminds me baby of you Teardrops in my eyes, next time I'll be true, yeah Whispers in the powder room "She cries on every tune, every tune, every tune" And the music don't feel like it did And the music don't feel like it did And the music don't feel like it did with you When I'm dancin' 'round, reminds me baby of you And I really let you down, next time I'll be true I'll be true, I'll be true, I'll be true Footsteps on the dance floor reminds me baby of you Teardrops in my eyes, next time I'll be true, yeah Whispers in the powder room "She cries on every tune, every tune, every tune" And the music don't feel like it did And the music don't feel like it did And the music don't feel like it did with you
I was going crazy making my indie playlist on Spotify. I was like “I know it’s an xx song why tf cant I find it?!?!” And I typed in b sides and found it lmao thanks dude for posting!!

ha just discovered this band after hearing an in studio session on Minnesota Public Radio The Current 89.3. proving thus Minnesota is the best place to hear good artists and their music
Love this version : slow tempo, her beautiful singing voice and the guitar work. Was never a fan of the original and didn't even recognize the song until I read up on it. Way to go XX, yay !
there whole first album including every song and remix that the xx have been involved in have all been songs that hit the soul in a chill and deep, yet hip kind of way. repeat times infinity
its a fab song either way so ya cant slate it ,, u choose to listen if ya wanna complain about it be polite at least ,, and im old ish at 41 and i think its fookin brill i lov the xx
I can't believe they've been around since 2009 and I'm just hearing about them NOW! Now I have to listen as much as I can to fill in that 3 year void :-)
I love this music and if this is not on the radio everywhere... better very often I finish hating a song because of that...this way the magic of the music is eternal...

Aaah this song's killing me ( in a good way)..I could listen that while walking on the streets, driving ( when I actually learn how to drive:p), sleeping, taking a shower, dancing, eating, studying ...wohu
I read the comment of the uploader "The xx - Teardrops (They're gonna be huge in 2009) 600k views, my predictions were real it seams :)" and I thought, "Well they aren't getting smaller, that's for sure." :)
"On 11 November 2009, it was confirmed that keyboardist Baria Qureshi left the band after missing several scheduled shows, citing exhaustion. She will not be replaced, and the band will continue as a three-piece." wikipedia ;)
Brilliant cover version. It is a completely new version and in my opinion it suits much better to the lyrics, than the original. Please no complaining. I like the Womack & Womack version also.
