Hi Sig. Funnily enough my Telstar head arrived a couple of days ago and I paired it with the light sabre handle. The gap on that razor is enormous but it shaves so smoothly and effectively that its a winner. Especially with my dense growth. If I was still working I'd have gone to the office after 2 passes only. I can't say that normally. And you are right to issue a warning . It's smooth but can cut you in a heartbeat. Take care with it and " Mind The Gap". Lovely shave mate. Glad to hear the storm has subsided too. All the best

Yaqi defintely makes some interesting products. I have three of their razors along with a brush and I'm guessing that won't be the last of their gear I pick up. You are the second person I've seen today say the same thing about loading the Game Changer. I had never given it any thought since I don't own a GC however had thought I would at some point. I'm leaning more toward the Lupo based on this. I appreciate you providing your opinion. Very helpful. Thanks for the video and have a great week!

Thank you, Buddy!! The Yaqi razors have definitely improved a lot. They make great razors, now. I hate base plate loading of the GC. However the Lupo and this Telstar are more agressive feeling because of the prominent blade-feel. I 'blade-down' with a milder blade to make them more confortable. The GC razors are much smoother and less bade-feely. So I guess it about your preferences. If I could only choose one I'd pick the GC, even though I hate the fiddlely loading of the base plate... You migt also want to consider the Yaqi Tile (Yenson) razor head. It's an SS Henson-ish head that people seems to love. I'm waiting for mine to arrive. Have a great week! And Stay Safe!! 🤙 #WAD

I remember years ago Wickham soap was fussy to lather with little clumps. They went dark for a while and reformulated. Today looks like they fixed that. That was a fine lather. That does look like a Lupo.

Hi Sig. I've got this, and the slate head, on order, so I shall try it for myself soon. I already have the aluminium Lupo which I really like. I take it you don't mean it's similar to that razor. I hope not I want something different. Nice video, thanks very much.

Thank you, Buddy! I have the Alu Lupo but haven't used it so far. But from what I hear the Alu is much milder than the SS ones. The SS Lupo is a 'blade-down' razor for me. It work best with a milder more forgiving blade in it. Have a great weekend! And Stay Safe! 🤙 #WAD

Great video 👍. The blade gap is 0.80 according to Yaqi. With that gap should head be medium aggressive. I also ordered and is on way to Denmark. Today I am switching between Henson medium and Lupo aluminium razor for daily shaving. I hope Telstar will be part of rotation razor.

Nice shave! I’m still not certain how I feel about the lupo. I notice I have to use a different shaving angle and the shave it gives, seems so so for me.

Hey Sig...great 👍 shave even with the weepers. SR's are more forgiving than DE's 😉 The brush that I get the best results is Matti's synthetic. Not sure what type of knot is in that brush. Have a great weekend. Take Care and Stay Safe.

Hi Sig To me this head looks like more like Feather AS-D2 than the Lupo.

Thank you, They are very far apart. The AS-D2 is squared and very similar to the Gillette Tech from the 50's. This razors base plate is missing the corner like the Lupo and it has and almost 1mm blade gap. I have all the Lupos, and the Feathers and the Techs amongst others. The Telstar will will pell your skin off if given the change. The AS-D2 is almost impossible the cut yourself with. To be honest they couldn't be further apart... IMHO Thank you for watching! I want this to replace my Gillette BB adjustable 1970. I need it to be the same or more aggressive than the 9. Do you think it is a good choice? I want something made of stainless steel but no too expensive. What can you say about the compatibility of the handle?

Great shave Sig! You can’t always avoid the nicks, they will find you eventually. The Yaqi Telstar looks interesting, looks strikingly similar to a RazoRock Lupo. Personally I prefer badger knots over synthetics by a long shot. But if I had to pick my favorite synthetic, it would be the G5C from APShaveCo.

Thanks, Buddy! The Telstar has a 1.05 gap and a .05 exposure and it is therefore a little more efficient than the SB90. I haven't tried the Ghost SB90 head, yet. I believe that it is considered milder than the Telstar by many, though. Thanks for watching! Have a great week and Holidays! 🤙 #WAD
