Actually, the crew behind the Animaniacs reboot have officially stated that Slappy Squirrel, Buttons and Mindy, the Goodfeathers, and Rita and Runt will be returning for new shorts if it gets renewed for a third season (season 2 has already been completed, but won’t be coming out for another few months).
So happy you included Rise of the TMNT, that show deserves more recognition than it gets. I hope the movie is a massive success so it can get the attention it deserves, and considering so much content got cut from season 2 and how much they had planned for after the movie I hope the cast and crew can return to revisit and continue the story.
For Hilda, I'd actually pick the episode after "The Fifty-Year Night", "The Deerfox". It's such a good episode in terms of editing, and music. I also wish you watched Archer, cause Season 11 is really good.
I always thought of big city greens as the lamest one on Disney at the time and i could be more wrong, the show its charming, it has action, it has feels its just crazy
That time worm episode to me is what made Hilda go from just a pretty good show to an absolutely amazing and incredible show! Especially with episodes afterwards like the Deerfox episode and the season 2 finale just further raising bar of high quality for how amazing this show is!
A nice looking list you’ve got here. Even if I couldn’t care less about certain shows you put here like Thundercats Roar and whatever that show was you put in the #1 spot. It’s a shame you couldn’t fit more 2020 shows on the list like certain episodes of Ducktales (2017) and Primal. But it’s neat to see you fit in shows like Hilda, Craig of the Creek, Glitch Techs and Rise of the TMNT into here. I feel like those shows aren’t getting enough attention at the moment.
i love all the shows you listed at the bottom, but trust me, that last episode of the midnight gospel (the #1 spot) is insane. made me cry like I never cried before, I would recommend you check it out, it's on Netflix
Bringing Patmac in for a quick ad spot/review/mini patmac video is the most ingenious way to announce a plush product that I've ever seen-- Well played!
I get your pick for Hilda, but episode... I think 8, the one about Twig, was amazing. I thought it was the best episode of the show, and it was so beautiful both emotionally and visually that it makes me cry every time I watch it, to the point where I'd say it's one of my favorite cartoon episodes of 2020, personally
Great video Nick!! Very happy I decided to subscribe just a few weeks ago, please continue to keep up the great work in 2021. And I have tons of respect for you putting “Mouse of Silver” at #1 on the list, TMG is an absolute masterpiece of a show and deserves more love in the animation community
Rise of the tmnt is amazing I’m so scared what the movie will be like though because if it’s bad that’s what people will see and not give it a chance when it’s so good but if it’s good i know less people will watch it because Nickelodeon doesn’t advertise the best shows if it’s not loud house or sponge bob they do t care
man why did you have to play an unedited 10 second clip of midnight gospel at the very end there, I was enjoying this video so much and now I’m sobbing lol
Just entering top 4, hoping Infinity Train and Clone Wars have the spots they deserve. Inifnity Train Book 3 deserved better, because both The Campfire Car, and The New Apex are masterpieces on their own.
Hey guys, so I might've said this in previous years, but I've been getting together with my friends to host top 10 cartoon watch-lists for each year for a number of years now, so I'm happy to share. My rules are a bit like yours (only one per show), but I also try to make it so that all of the episodes are viewable out of context of the show--which has become harder in recent years. 10-You Can't Go Home Again-Mike Tyson Mysteries 9-Maddison's Birthday Party (Pilot)-YOLO: Crystal Fantasy 8-Fall Anthology-Craig of the Creek 7-Beast of Both Worlds-The Shivering Truth 6-Tigtone and Tigtone's Island-Tigtone 5-Smiling Friends (Pilot) 4-Never Ricking Morty-Rick and Morty 3-Plague of Madness-Primal 2-The View From Halfway Down-Bojack Horseman 1-Mouse of Silver-The Midnight Gospel Honorable Mentions: Oddjobs-Summer Camp Island Episode 1-Animaniacs (Reboot) The Vat of Acid Episode-Rick and Morty Tigtone and the Demon Maze-Tigtone Children of the Night Serenade Wet Nurse of Reprisal; Scream, Bloodsucker, Scream!-Ballmasterz 9009 Bismuth Casual-Steven Universe Future Blinded By My End-The Midnight Gospel Pretty cool that we both wound up having the same #1, but also cool that I didn't see a bunch of these. I thought 2020 was a particularly strong year for animation in that there was so much stuff that people would wind up having wildly different favorites and best lists, so I'm looking forward to giving some of these a try. Also, I would've had stuff like Infinity Train and SUF on the main list, but a lot of those really good episodes are NOT viewable on their own (I love The Campfire Car but it doesn't work with my rules).
just came here for that amphibia episode. :) (I think the best is sleepover to end all sleepovers but oh wellllll) but the ending for hopping mall was prob the best part of the season...
Oof, I'm surprised you picked the 50 year night over The Deer Fox for Hilda but every episode of Hilda season 2 was great so I can imagine why it would be hard to pick a favorite
Finally, someone who agrees with me that “ThunderCats ROAR!” Is a good show. I hope there’s DVDs of the series, that I can be able to watch the whole thing from.
No CBS All Access exclusives is a shame. Seeing Will Riker and the USS Titan fly in to save the day was an awesome moment in an already good season finale
I love how episode 1 of Rick and Morty teases a school be a big deal like a teen drama with morty . Morty is barely in schoo, however Solar opposites mostly takes place at school, even a college episode, I'm guessing justin roiland wanted rick and Morty to have school drama.
20:08 thank you, at least someone added in rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles to their top 20 or 10. It's too great of a show to not add it in as 1 of the best. This show is the line studio and titmouse levels of great animation and western sakuga.
I appreciated you doubling up on the positive side of content last year. It’s a lot easier to criticize bad things and it’s easy views too. This is a great, earnest video and I love the positive vibes
I don't get why CN would pass up Trick Moon considering the reception it's had. Hell why not make it an HBO Max original since people could watch the show at any time.
@@Kittenfox_55 There's also The Mighty Ones, which Nickelodeon rejected back in 2013, but it was eventually picked up by DreamWorks, and came out 3 months ago on Hulu and Peacock. www.animationmagazine.net/streaming/backyard-buddies-sunil-hall-lynne-naylor-reccardi-introduce-the-mighty-ones/
@@BlythePennyBicycle21 I didn't know about that, but I did know about She-zow's pilot being produced by Disney and being green-light by the Hub, guess it happens more than we thought.
