oh rachel these are just beautiful! thank goodness someone thought to save all the amazing old documents you find there in italy. they are just so beautiful! our present documents these days are not works of art like the old ones. so happy they will have another life.

Not only are these super fun, but also super cool!! That little trick you discovered about slipping the paper into itself is absolutely fantastic! And of course all your lovely vintage & antique papers are just perfect when given to someone in a form that they can then use as they wish! It was nice to see you really excited when you discovered the folded paper! Have a great day!

You could also stick a tiny postage stamp or one of your recent tiny embellishments right on the break where the two ends meet with just a drop of glue. That way the liitle decoration could be used.

I am a terrible hoarder of antique/vintage ephemera, books, journals. I really need to get some out scan it into my computer and then use some of the originals. These are lovely, easy and quick to make. I’m loving the idea of giving them on a birthday or anniversary with ephemera from the date of the event. What fun.

These are all exquisite Rachel! Those folded document belly bands, oh yeah, I am stealing that idea very soon. So cool! I am so glad you are using your “hoardy” things. I am getting better at that because I know my children will chuck it all in the dumpster when I am gone! Lol.

You could also fold the band in thirds and slide one end into the other - it makes a slightly more secure band.

Rachel, these are a great ideal. I love when you get so excited! Have you seen the "Letterlocking videos" channel? You might be interested in some of them. They teach the ways letters were folded and "sealed" Hundreds/ Thousand years ago. Some by piercing the paper in a way you'd be able to tell if anyone else had opened it. The history is So interesting.
