Just to clarify Viv has said that Vox had a slight supressed crush on Al, but Alastor is asexual and aromantic so he would never return his feelings. Even if he wasn’t aro Im pretty sure he would never give Vox the time of day, he just sees him as pathetic lol

A fun fact about Alastor: Alastor died after being mistaken as a deer, and that's what the X on his head represents.

"Stayed Gone" is such a fantastic song. It perfectly establishes Vox and Alastor's dynamic. The fact that Vox was so hot-headed and felt the need to assert dominance in the first place, while Alastor stays collected and nonchalant already suggests who's superior. But the way Alastor just casually tunes in, hits Vox back even harder, and completely airs out his dirty laundry just proves it. And then there's the end, with Alastor giving his own warning and showing his demon form. It's awesome, creepy, and lets us know for certain he's got a hidden agenda. And it's going to change everything. A perfect theatrical number. Also, I'm so glad Vivienne didn't go the obvious, overused story route of having Charlie believe Sir Pentious when he got caught and kicking out Angel Dust or whatever for the sake of drama. And you know the next episode would've been wasted with Angel trying to clear his name. I can't stand that misunderstanding trope.

Alastor being aroace makes his rivalry with Vox so much funnier. Vox is clearly hung up on his crush that rejected him while Alastor is just in it for the attention

Love Alastor's indifference to most things. But when it's time to be petty, he gives it 120%. Vox decided to swing first. Alastor told him not to flatter himself. He was never even a player.

I bet part of why Angel Dust sounded so upset when he found out about him being a spy for the V’s is because it invited his abuser into what was supposed to be Angels safe place. He wants to escape Valentino, and now he finds a spy in the hotel working for him. On top of him already being jealous, well I get why they might not get along.

My personal theory is that Vox based his personality on Alastor which is why they have a lot of similar mannerisms (a media theme, their suits, their voices, Vox smiling not quite as much as Alastor but pretty much always trying to, the cane, that sort of thing) in an attempt to emulate it. Alastor rejecting Vox's offer to join would have been less one overlord being snubbed by another and more like a fanboy being rejected by his hero for being a low quality knock off. And given that it was Alastor doing the rejecting it wouldn't have been pleasant. Also Alastor is ace so there's no chance of enemies to lovers here.

I like how Alastor goes to gloat at the end, despite having done literally nothing.

I feel like Alastor and monokuma would have a grand old time sipping tea and watching people suffer.

Something I wanted to point out about Vox and Valentino's relationship: There used to be a collection of soft-canon/semi-canon Instagram accounts run by the staff before the official show was picked up. (I think the accounts still exist, they're just privated) On Vox and Val's accounts, there were posts that indicated that they were on-again-off-again boyfriends and had a pretty toxic relationship. I just thought you should know.

To answer your question, Charlie is the daughter of Lucifer, someone of higher authority than Vox. If Alastor could manage to strike a deal with Charlie, he could very well have Lucifer under his grasp and thats something Vox does not want because then Alastor would be unstoppable. This is obviously using information we know up until episode 2.

Fun fact: Not only was Alastor mistaken for a deer and shot, but he was a cannibal serial killer, it's why he resembled what most imagined a wendigo looks like. Also he's aroace so sex and romance are things he's not interested in, doesn't feel it, and in Alastor's case hates it

Glad to see you noticed the weird blood looking drool coming from Alastor's mouth. That seems to be a thing among powerful beings in this world whenever they get worked up. You can see that Vox also has it during a couple shots. We don't really know exactly what it means. All we know is that it tends to happen when they're very upset or just highly emotional. Personally, I think it either represents their Sinful nature getting the better of them, or is just a side effect of extremely potent feelings of Wrath.

The Vee's are a trio of overlords that control a different form of media! Velvette has fashion, Vox has TV, and Valentino has the p*rn industry. Another thing to note is the val is a very BAD person and does some very disgusting things to angel

Stayed Gone is definitely my favorite song. Though episodes 5 and 6 do bring some competition.

I kinda love the "what's a donkey show" moment. Cuz it shows the cracks in Angel's hyper sexual behavior and tells us that even he has lines he's not willing to cross. That, and that he values Charlie's innocence despite them literally being in Hell, her being the princess of it, and him almost constantly ragging on her and her goals. A short moment that subtly shows he's not totally lost in his own degeneracy to where he's beyond redemption. He's not like Miu.😂

Angels decision to join the hotel is a little more complicated than free rent, there's a music video that they put out called addict that goes a bit into it, although it was made before the show got picked up so how much is still Canon is a little up in the air

Fun thing about Vox, he's voiced by Christian Borle who's been in many different musicals. The one that I know him from is when he played Emmett in Legally Blonde: The Musical. And HE WAS INCREDIBLE. I loved this episode having the introduction of the three Vee’s Vox, Velvet, and Valentino was great. Alastor’s duet with Vox is one of my favorite songs of the show it’s like classic Disney villain songs who are fighting for attention. Vox is my favorite of the three Vee’s .

This is my favorite episode because it has my two favorite characters duking it out.

Angle is actually their first customer when they opened up the hotel the first person to stay there he has been there for a long time. In the old Version. He is my favorite character and I don’t just love he because of his sexuality he is actually a very nice person and cares about his friends he’s also a really good character and important in the show.❤

Fun fact! When Val says "ungrateful wh*re" and Vox asks which one, right after Val says "Angel Dust who else would I be talking about?" Vox points at himself.
