A much better movie to watch about Molly Brown is "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" starring Debbie Reynolds and Harve Presnell. It is a fantastic musical that was made in the '60s.
Hi Adam. Glad to see you found Molly's birthplace. The hours are normally 10-4 when it's open. It's run by a local museum non-profit and I think they're having funding problems right now. Even the phone number is disconnected. It is a quaint little museum with one room dedicated to the Titanic.
Adam, I just went by Molly Brown's house today. Not much has changed. They still have strange hours of operation. Thank you so much for your video. It made me feel like I didn't miss much! Take Care!
As a kid who grew up watching and loving old musicals,The Unsinkable Molly Brown with Debbie Reynolds was one I saw many times. I loved Kathy Bates portrayal of her in Titanic. This was really cool to see her home, very nice dude!
I’ve been to her home in Denver several times. Beautiful house! Need to see her house in Leadville though. Margaret was NEVER known as Molly. That’s a Hollywood fabrication.
Great vlog Adam. Molly Brown is the name of the second steamboat at Euro Disneyland (Mark Twain is the other one). Didn't know they both came from the same town so maybe that's why the boats have those names. I think it's the only Disney riverboat with the wheel in the middle rather than on the back
There's a movie musical called The Unsinkable Molly Brown based loosely off the real Molly Brown. I still like it though. Would love to see some footage of Marceline. Hope you have fun over there!
Mr Woo, maybe just maybe she is still there, in a time warp, whispering to the second mate, " there's an ice burg ahead, ram it head on!" In the movie, Titanic, was Molly portrayed as leonardo's lover? I can't remember- through the tears, so sad, yet beautiful ....
Still getting used to ATWs posting times when on the west coast or traveling,..this vlog for whatever reason I was actually on time and at the 16 minutes ago mark made my comment but like a knucklehead I never hit POST. Arghhh. I like to revisit the vlogs to see what people say. To my dismay I realized my error. What I wanted to say was mentioned by someone below,..that a Mercury spacecraft was named the unsinkable Molly Brown in her honor and due to a prior recovery mishap. I think the hatch blew off and one of the Mercury capsules sunk, ....but all turned out OK. As for the Titanic,..here in NJ John Roeblings son who was a victim of the Titanic,..is buried in a Trenton NJ graveyard. He was not unsinkable though. Roeblings were famous for building the Brooklyn Bridge.
A couple of cool places I know are snake alley in Burlington Iowa the swinging Bridge in Columbus Junction Iowa I think & crybaby bridge Viola Illinois
Ah yeah. I read about this place. I always have wanted to go to check out her house. She was a great women. I also have Hannibal on my bucket list, for Tom Sawyer Days in the summer. Great Great Great Vlog, yeas, three times great, like Molly would be, if she was my Great Grama, lol.
Adam, she is so cute and a wonderful attachment to your videos , but , when are you going to tell us just who she is? Name PLEASE. Love your videos. Stay Safe.
oh well, she's history. I think Adam is a rolling stone. He seems to like the lifestyle that is conducive to traveling light and alone. Not unlike other vloggers who have a tough lifestyle to live with. Tim the Tracker and his wife are doing well with it. Carpetbagger is married but spends a lot of time away. These guys need understanding if they do partner up.
cool place molly brown was disliked by many of the high society people because she was known as (not sure of my spelling). nouveua riche. or the newly rich. her husband made his own millions while many of the others was inherited old money. they were really snobbish in the day.
