Their first ever ridden horse show together,
Lewis took my ridden show horse out to a local riding club show for there first ever try at ridden showing, i think they done amazing

Here I share my journey from a complete novice horse rider to now competing at horse of the year (HOYS) shows whilst being a completely self-taught equestrian.
I have failed so many times over the years but always learnt something from it, I hope that my RU-vid channel will be able to help teach you all the little bits that nobody seems to share and help progress you on your riding journey quicker than I did on mine.

I compete my 4 Welsh section D cobs regularly in both in hand and ridden showing, from local level shows, affiliated, WPCS, RIHS, to HOYS qualifiers,
Willow - 11yr old Welsh section D - Sooty palomino
Gambler - 9yr old Welsh section D - Black roan
Champ - 7yr old Welsh section D - Buckskin
Donut - 2yr old Welsh section D - Chestnut roan
I am a completely self-taught horse rider who has a big dream to compete at HOYS, why not follow my journey to see if we can make it,
I'm not perfect and I make mistakes but what we learn from it is what truly matters.

Come and join us for Willow and Lewis' first ever ridden show, i am over the moon with how these two have come on, Willow is easier to ride then Gambler in certian ways, he;s more forward but safe and lewis has realised that getting the canter on him is easier xx

I THINK willow has GIVE Lowe's the confidens, AS he now's WHAT to expect. GOOD job with your riding , wow 3rd first time ridden . Lowe's is so GOOD at WHAT he does with the horse's. Well done and ALL the best. 😊😊😊👍👍👍

Yes Lewis has watched me many times in a show with Willow so he knows willow will behave even if someone cantered up his bum, so this is giving Lewis the confidence to try the ridden showing, Thank you so much, all the best xx

Lewis, well done. You had good competition in each class so to have a First and Third was such an achievement. All the horses were really well turned out and so were their riders but not as good as you and Master Willow. 🏆😎🐎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️

Lewis you were amazing. Rode Willow beautifully. Very well done on getting a 3rd place on your first ridden show.👏👏👏The in hand was beautiful to watch. Willow has such beautiful movement and standing. Georgeous boy...No stopping you now Lewis....karen you must be so proud of both your boys....They did brilliantly...Willow may be grumpy. But what a pro he is in the show ring. He loves it. And he knows just how Handsome he is.😂😂😂

Thank you so much, 😊 I am so proud of him, I know how nervous he’s always got with the ridden side of it all, I’m so pleased that he’s decided to let willow show him the ropes and build his confidence. I know his heart is all for gambler but he’s not the easiest to ride because he is so lazy, I will do some work with gambler so fingers crossed they can be out in the ridden ring together later this year xx

No problem! You guys deserve the best of the best!! I’ve been on RU-vid for years and ever since I discovered the channel, I just couldn’t wait for the next video to come out, and again tell Lewis ‘Well done, all of your fans support you for whatever you do! Don’t forget that EVER!’ I’ve been doing a lot of in hand shows for a while with a great granddaughter of the 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat, names Dee (Thoroughbred X Welsh section D Mare,16h) she was strong, going into the trot, she never wanted to stop, but in our first in hand show together we came 2nd! Never give up on your dreams, bad things will come and go but they all have a reason, it’s what makes your mind stronger. Don’t ever forget that! Love ya’ll! Can’t wait till the next video comes out!

Thank you so much 😊 I can’t wait to see where they go together, Lewis knows that willow is not fussed in being in a big group, horses cantering round him doesn’t bother him, so that gives Lewis confidence that he’s not going to prat about, I am so proud of the pair of them xx

Karen i had to come back and watch this one as I just watched the other one that made me cry, he's come a long way from this to the one you uploaded today, god love him. He should be so proud of himself his confidence will grow the more little ridden shows he does, I'm so pleased for him 🎉🎉🎉 hopefully it won't be long and he will be doing ridden showing with gambler, I Don't if it's allowed in the novice classes but couldn't you get him a little pair of spears to ride gambler in the ring? if he's lazy off the leg and hard to get into canter just a little thought.

Thanks for posting this video Karen, enjoy all your content, and have always said would love to see Lewis fo a ridden class . Lewis bro you rode very well willow looks a dream to ride, his trot is beautiful to watch as he floats along so balanced with good self carriage. We need more lads out there riding and competing. I do eventing with 2 of my horses and have qualified to go up to 3* level, our first show is in 2wks and looking forward to it. Karen, Lewis and horses I wish you all the best this season and beyond, look forward to more videos 👍💯

Yes we never see any lads out showing untill we go to the welsh cob shows, there they are all lads and hardly any girls running them, Ah that’s excellent, good luck, let me know how you get on 👍

Woohoooo !!! They look amazing 🤩❤️ Tip: when Lewis rides him in the show wear long riding boots or chaps❤ because he is a large horse ❤️❤️but if the pony is a smaller pony u wear short ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ xxx it would make him look less of a “ parsnip “ 😂😂😂😂😂

Oh yes that would be lovely to meet up, I’m up for anything to help my back at the moment I’ve never tried side saddle, I will have to have a Google and see if there is any side saddle places near me to have a go at, I’d probably fall flat on my face but I’d give it a try xx

Thank you so much 😊 Confidence is one of the hardest things to get, take it slowly and you will get there, Willow makes it easy as he is so easy to get into the canter and he has the smoothest movement, he also has amazing breaks and will go from canter to halt easily so this make Lewis feel safer as he knows he is in complete control of the speed xx

Hi angel, what a polite young man you have brought up. Im so proud, he should have come 2nd at least, gosh i just hug kiss those dapples. I personally would get untouched 2yr old, just i dislike correcting problems others made, but from what ive seen your ponies stunning. Hiya Thank you so much, Yes I prefer to get them as young as possible, trying to un teach them stuff is the hard part, I prefer them young and wild, Lewis wants to have something to have fun with now so that’s why I’m swaying towards a 2 or 3 yr old but I don’t want it to of done much Haha I’ve been in a few magazines with Willow but never the front cover Xx
