This is what is on the Metallica Blacklist album (30th anniversary of the Black album). Metallica reached out to Alessia, a Canadian singer, to do a song, somebody in management, I forget exactly who, also worked with The Warning and suggested a collab. They had 10 days to do this(7 days of recording time). During lockdown, Alessia recorded in Canada, and TW in Mexico. The live version, Dany sings all the lyrics, but they kept Alessia's oohs and ahhs on backing track. Tw recorded the video in an abandoned bldg near their home. As a Metallica fan myself, I love their reimagined take on the song. The Warning were on Jimmy Kimmel the other day, they played "S!ck" and "Automatic Sun", both videos are up on their channel.

This was a "collab" they did as part of a tribute album celebrating 30 years of their 'Black Album'

I think of this very much as the female version of the Sandman tale told as a dark lullaby. So good. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one.

This was the song that introduced me to The Warning! Huge Alessia Cara fan and was watching an interview where it was mentioned she did a collaboration with this band. I have been addicted to The Warning ever since! Thank you for your reaction!

DPA/TW and Alessia Cara certainly understood the assignment! Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and a more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... this was done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original "Black" album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the "Black" album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 "The Metallica Blacklist" album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice. in the OMV, Dany (guitar) and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale (bass) and Pau (drums) join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original... this 60+ year old rocker loves both versions of *Enter Sandman* but this one by TW and Alessia gets more airtime these days 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

From a fanatic Metallica fan, i feel this "cover" not as a simply cover! This was another thing and the feeling it gaves me was more a tribute, an awesome tribute to a great classic of metal! I was owerflowed by goosebumps almost al lthe time! These girls are fantastic!

I randomly found this vid by searching "Enter Sandman covers" a few years ago and went down The Warning rabbit hole and never came back.

It is the number 1 track on the Blacklist Album. The girls were given 10 days to do all of this. It was during the Pandemic so Alessia Who lives in Canada could not come. When the girls heard about it, they celebrated it for about a second , then said welp we gotta get to work on it now. They seem to work best under pressure.

This version is the first song on disc one of the Metallica's "Blacklist" album. The band really liked it. The Warning was the only band to flip the song on its head like this. All the other bands did a pretty standard cover with maybe some different instruments. Alissia Cara is a Canadian pop star. They were given a week to write and record this song.

Canadian singer Alessia Cara and The Warning did the music video separately because of the pandemic. Once restrictions were lifted Alessia and The Warning did get a chance to perform together live once. They were said to have developed a strong friendship. Now they only have Alessia’s prerecorded background vocals in their live performances. The Warning ever gracious, Dany always mentions Alessia as part of the song when introducing the song. Metallica tasked those invited to the Blacklist album, to make the song they cover their own.

If you want to know the location of this beautiful place, it's the Fábrica de Textiles El Porvenir in Santiago, N.L., Mexico, which is south of Monterrey in the same state.

This is a great version, but I find their live performance during their Teatro Metro concert is levels above. One of my top two remakes of all times. Nightwish's version of Pink Floyds High Hopes is the other. Great reaction, as always!!🤘

Probably wrong but think this is the first track on the Metallica Black list Album...and deservedly so...this is EPIC!!!!

They put this together and because of COVID they had to film the video remotely, as you said.

As explained below this was on the Blacklist album first track and these ladies killed it by taking the instructions seriously and producing this gem in 10 days from 2 countries during the pandemic genius to leave the iconic riff until the end. Great reaction thank you.

After they submitted this to Metallica, but before the Black List album was released, a Marvel universe video game asked Metallica if they could use some of Enter Sandman for their trailer for the game release. Metallica offered them *this* track, so the first time I heard any of it was in the trailer for the Midnight Suns game. Later this track was used for a while on Fox Sports NFL game coverage. Some people prefer the harder edge of the live version you reviewed earlier, and I agree that in a rock concert it fits better, but there's a charm to the way this version moves from Alessia's pop, through to The Warning's rock and ends up at Metallica's riff at the end. chef's kiss

The Metallica people were so impressed with this recording that when Marvel Entertainment contacted them about using "Enter Sandman" in the trailer for an upcoming game they recommended using the TW version instead, before the 30th Anniversary Black album had even been released. Their version of Enter Sandman they performed at the Teatro Meto concert and the 10th anniversary concert at the Pepsi Center are a most see.

Out of all the artists invited to partake on the 2021 Blacklist 30th Anniversary charity LP, this is by far my absolute favorite. I bought this collection, and it takes forever and a day to get through all of it. 2nd place goes to artists I never would give a listen to these days, but their reimagined version of " Nothing Else Matters" by Elton John, Chad Smith & Mily Cirus is also great! 3rd spot would be by Volbeat's cover of "Don't Tread on me". Everytime these songs get played, the charity gets another donation, same as when you purchase the collection. Half of the proceeds goes to Metallicas All Within my hands foundation, and have surpassed $1M so far. The other half goes to the artists charity of choice.

I don't know much about Alessia Cara, but doing a quick lookup, she was born in Ontario, she started doing covers on RU-vid when she was 13, and she's about 4 years older than Dany.

The "Teatro Metropolitan" live version is much better IMO that you already covered.

First, I'm not the biggest Metallica fan, but I know this song !!! If there is someone who doesn't know this song, that person doesn't listen music in general. This Song Is HUGE !!! This song is on Metallica's tribute album "The Metallica Blacklist", And it's great and all, but... this song Live is WAY Better. Don't misunderstand, I got Nothing against Alessia's singing in this music video, but Live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX is The Ultimate Version, Dany's voice is made for this song. personally I like the live version better because I think Alessia's voice is too soft for this song also you don't get Pau's and Dani's harmonies.

The live version is so much better than this one. Just my opinion, Dany sings this with so much more feeling than Cara does here
