My unboxing and brief review of a Theo Boards 'travel-size' Medi board, shipped to me from Cyprus. Compact, rugged, hand-finished, beautiful. What more could one want in a backgammon board that can be taken onto a plane, or brought on a weekend trip to the beach, with no concerns about whether the board is 'safe'?
This is an excellent board, wrapped in vinyl with stainless steel corner inserts for protection, and with an impervious vinyl playing surface. The Bumblebee 'Transformer' colors are eye-popping!
This board-maker is definitely worth your consideration!

Thanks for the video, Justin, superb as always! The board is nice and interesting, definitely a lovely travel size board with great color combination, but for me it would require too much compromise - no holder for the checkers, no bear-off tray, plastic cups with no trip lip. Even the surface does not seem to be ideal (at least in the video it seems that it is not "slippery" enough). Nevertheless, overall a nice board, but I would probably rather go for a Galaxy Adventure Board as a carry-on board.

Looks like a great board. I really like that single latch, there’s just something about it. This seems like the perfect board for coffee shops. What board(s) do you find yourself taking to coffee shops or similar?

Blunder: Sorry for the late reply, for some reason your comments weren’t published without my separate approval. This board would be perfect for a coffee shop or somewhere with small tables! I usually play live at a sports bar with regular size tables and I often take my Earth board. Thanks for the views and positive comments! ✨✌🏼🎲🎲

Hi, Barry. Thanks for your comment. No, the Theo Boards surfaces are made of vinyl and are built into the board directly. They are not removable. An interesting surface to play on, and it will hold up to wear and tear, I think! Cheers! 🎲🎲🙌🏼💫

Very good question! I would have to say my Earth board, my 'Justin McKenna' model FMGammon board, and my FTH board from Fazil Terlemez in Germany. All super nice! What about you? What do you play most on?

@@jjmckenna My budget is limited, LOL, but my go-to is a 19-inch Manopoulos. It's bigger than my small, affordable entry boards, and it makes the gaming experience *much* better! Cheers!
