The real faces of the Roman Emperor Theodosius I, the Great who was the last emperor to rule the entire Roman Empire before it was forever split between two separate Empires, one Western, and the other Eastern.
Theodosius' sons, Honorius whose chaotic reign and irresponsible character caused the sack of Rome for the first time in 800 years. A re-worked and more accurate face of Arcadius a weak emperor, who was dominated by several powerful ministers. Also the real face of the emperor Theodosius II, who build the Theodosian Walls of Constantinople.

all of them were terrible, useless bunch of murderers that destoyed the western part (not only Honorius but Valentinian III too) and almost the east, thank goodness Anastasius brought greatness again to the empire just to be destroyed again by Justinian, the never ending story of the slow fall of the roman empire.

Excellent! One of my favorite Byzantine dynasties. So many holy Eastern Orthodox Saints lived during this time, like Gregory of Nazianzus, John Chrysostom, Cyril of Alexandria and many more. You should do the next dynasty of emperors after this! Some of the patristic church fathers would be interesting, too.

The Nicene Church in the East must have had a very swell day when Theodosios I overturned all Arianization progress in the East with Constantinople I (381) and created imperial decrees that head-on attack paganism. I guess every religion in the medieval era was (and still is) just a product of its geopolitical circumstances.

How far down the Theodosius lineage can you go? My maiden name is Teodosiu and I was born in Romania. It has been verbally passed down for generations that the Teodosius are descendants of a King. As a child I always thought it was cool (what girl doesn't want to be a princess, right?) but then in college I learned about Emperor Theodosius. I figured that was the closest in name to any King I could find. Always wondered if there was a way to trace the lineage.

It's been speculated to be either of them but I'm leaning towards it being Honorius until proven otherwise. Stylistically it shares a lot in common with the portrait of his brother Arcadius, both very abstract and geometric-looking even when compared with other sculptures from Late Antiquity that are a bit older like the famous Colossus of Constantine, which still had some features reminiscent of naturalistic classical realism remaining.

... and we have been living in the East-West balance of power ever since, but this tale does not have a good ending (not in this age), because it is to be replaced by a One World Gov't, then a 10 region world gov't and out of those 10 kings or horns the "little horn" arises, boastful, stout and God-blaspheming. The world enters the 7 year tribulation after which will be the Kingdom of God on the earth centered in Jerusalem with Christ ruling a thousand years. If you happen to survive the tribulation, the sheep/goat judgment will determine if you enter the K'dom. Put your faith in Jesus Christ by grace alone without works of human righteousness and you will surely have eternal life.
