Venture into the heart of chemistry as we dissect the concepts of theoretical and percent yield. These two integral terms provide insight into the efficiency and practicality of chemical reactions, acting as bridges between what's theoretically possible and what's actually achieved. This video meticulously unravels the differences and connections between these yields. Starting with the theoretical yield, we explore how stoichiometry allows us to predict the maximum amount of product a reaction can generate. Moving forward, we then delve into the percent yield, which captures the efficiency of a reaction by comparing the actual amount produced to the theoretical yield. Through vivid demonstrations and real-world examples, the significance of these concepts in research, industry, and academic settings is illuminated. Whether you're an aspiring chemist, a diligent student, or someone with a burgeoning passion for science, this tutorial promises to enhance your understanding and appreciation of the practical challenges and triumphs in chemical endeavors. By the end, you'll have mastered the art of calculating and interpreting both yields, arming you with tools crucial for both academic success and real-world applications. Dive in and unlock the deeper layers of chemical reactions. Remember to like, share, and subscribe for further chemistry adventures.

Great explanation. Sometimes a person can take courses and get good grades but there are still gaps in understanding for whatever reasons. You know the right things to say to make difficult concepts understandable.Thank you

Yep, this takes me back. Some of my classmates never truly understood stoichiometry that well to begin with. You have to simplify the limiting agent for them to understand. Use patties and hamburger buns to demonstrate it. You can calculate what the theoretical yeild and the percent yield(some too burnt patties, too burnt to consume).

Hello, I'm sorry, I know this is way out of place but I have been trying to contact math tutor dvd website for the past week. I really need to join the member's area subscription however I don't have a credit card. I wanted to know if I can pay through paypal instead. I did statistics volume 1 to 5 and math until algebra 2 and beyond before when I joined through paypal and the courses really helped me build a strong foundation in statistics and math, due to which I was able to clear CFA level 1 close to 90th percentile with absolutely no background in finance, all because of you. I really want to get started with my Level 2 preparations with the remaining volumes in statistics and it's been almost a week since I have been waiting. This really is my last resort. Sorry again for randomly commenting on a video but I really can't find any other way. Thank you so so so very much for teaching everything in such detail and building up from the very foundational concepts. Thank you so much for being such an incredible teacher!
