I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure the Prime comes with a carrying bag, in lieu of the bulky elite case! Save some money go with the Prime. 👍

@@BeforeYouBuyReview Yeah. Its diminishing returns after the Theragun Prime. I don't recommend getting anything other than the Prime. They use the same attatchments. Only 2 that will come with the Pro won't be in the box with the Prime. You can buy those separately if you want though. One Theragun product to absolutely stay away from is the Theragun Mini. Too many corners were cut with that one to get to the $200 price point.

I’ve tested 7 different guns including the Prime, Mini 2.0, Xiaomi, Xiaomi mini, Aukey Naipo, and two cheap knockoffs. I’ve also watched about 50 reviews. The Mini (12mm amplitude) is perfect for anyone who doesn’t need large muscle groups deep massages. Too hard on the small muscles like the neck area, tends to bounce. Very portable, very quiet. You can use this while watching tv with the family. Feels almost as heavy as the prime. Will fit in a large laptop bag. The Prime (16mm amplitude) is supreme for quads, glutes, calves, and on arms and shoulders and back is as effective as the mini. It will also hurt you in smaller muscles/bony areas. You can watch tv but it will be noticeable and will disturb others. Irrelevant though - you use it for 2 min and probably before exercise. Somewhat portable. Will not fit into a laptop bag but will into a gym bag. Mid range (‘Aukey’ massage gun) has +-10mm amplitude but can hit 3000rpm so it’s perfect for the smaller muscles like neck and bony areas, and even your forehead and face. Very light and portable. High quality feel. The Xiaomis felt very sleek and high quality. I’m sure the battery will last years and goes for hours. But ultimately the big one was noisy and much less powerful than the Aukey but priced the same (about 40% the price of the Prime). The mini is, strangely, priced the same as the larger Xiaomi but is truly feeble. Feels nice to hold but it isn’t going to do much. The knockoffs were comparable to the mini Xiaomi but poor quality. They have tiny amplitudes so just skin deep vibrations. Stay away, trust me you’ll just put them in a drawer and forget they exist. Could be a nice present for grandma though. I kept the Prime and the midrange, I lift weights + run and the Prime is the business… midrange is used for lymph nodes and tension relief and smaller muscles. And when travelling. Great for neck, arms. For reference I’m 177cm, male, 80kg, 12% bodyfat, 37 years old. If the mini had a 14mm or higher amplitude it would be THE ONE. Really like it but not quite effective where I need it. So if you are thin, get the mini. You’ll love it. If you are muscular or need deep work on glutes/quads, get the Prime. If you need tension relief, get a high rpm and shallower amplitude but not below 8mm in my estimation. Aukey has the best battery life, both Theraguns only last about 45min on a charge but it has no real impact on the experience. Couldn’t stall the mini / prime / Aukey without hurting myself. So that’s irrelevant. Hope that helps.

If Theragun doesn't allow the user to use it while connected to the power supply, we depend on Theragun to sell us in the future the same battery, so there is a high chance of having the theragun obsolete. I think this is one of the bigger cons.

Totally agree, internal lithium batteries have a finite life. I had a nice electric toothbrush I had to eventually throw away because it stopped charging, that had a NiMH battery. Hopefully it lasts for a long time, but it's like a phone. The more you use and charge it the less the battery will last. Same with my Logitech portable speaker, lasted about 5 years now the charge only lasts for like 30-45min from 5hr+ and I have to recharge each time before I use it.

As someone who plays rugby and is quite larger than the average male, would you recommend the elite or prime? I have the prime and am gonna 'abuse' therabody's 30 day guarantee to try out the elite. Biggest thing for me is that extra 10lbs of stall force. If it helps to reach into larger muscle groups, could justify the upgrade. What do you reckon?

@BeforeYouBuyReview
@BeforeYouBuyReview 3 года назад
Thanks! I know. I’ll try to be better about staying up late 👍☕️ There isn’t much difference at all in noise. I think most of the marketing has been saying it’s much quieter than their older models. That said the website still states it’s louder than the average Massage Gun which I totally agree with. They are annoyingly loud at times. Hope that helps
@kevinm1728
@kevinm1728 3 года назад
@@BeforeYouBuyReview I really don't need 60lbs of force, I never really exceed the 40lb from the elite. So if noise isn't an issue on the Pro, I guess my last question is do you use the adjustable part of the stroke much. I can't remember in your video if you said you did or not. I just saw a video where you compare the 5 best massage guns, in which you punish Teragun a lot because he does not bring a case and because he is very noisy. Curiously, in this video you give almost zero importance to the case because you confess that you don't really use it. I could also tell that you rate it as a not noisy pistol compared to others. I honestly feel that the review of this video don’t make sense regarding with the other one. it could be that there are some contradictions? Cheers! I will buy a coffee by the way 😂

Good insight. I don’t use a case daily, but I think I was trying to get the point across that a case isn’t included in one of the most expensive massage guns out there (Prime). Seems silly when it probably only adds a few dollars to their cost, but I suppose they need more reasons to buy the more expensive models yet. Regarding noise, I can’t stand how loud these are personally. I was trying to explain their marketing says they are significantly quieter than previous generations, but that graph still shows it’s still above average for massage guns on their own website. Also, depends on when videos are made. I’ve learned more over the past year since this was made and have more products to compare them to. Hope that helps! 👍

what about the pro? is it the best gun out there (excluding price) ? how does the stall force of the pro/prime/elite compare to the bob n brad gun if u had to rank them
@BeforeYouBuyReview
@BeforeYouBuyReview 3 года назад
I have not got my hands on the Pro yet. Depending on what you are looking for, it might be the best. Two huge factors for me personally when buying one is noise and cost. That puts the Pro way down on the list for me. In fact, it would be a hard sell for me to upgrade from the Prime to the Pro for sure. For stall force the Prime is 30lbs, Elite is 40lbs, and Pro 50lbs I believe. 30lbs is pretty strong and most people would never need the difference. I will say this. I personally carry the Bob & Brad in my backpack, even though I have a choice of over 35+ massage guns. Here's some comparison of 30+ massage guns, where I break down my top 6 picks and explain what to look for. Everyone is different so once you make sure it's a good massage gun it comes down to a few personal preferences.
