I was initially going to purchase theragun. I’m the type of person that researches, reads reviews, and watch videos for the products that I purchase. I took the leap and purchased the bob and brad. I’m glad I did. Compact and powerful.
I tried out the hypervolt since the gym I went to had them out for people to use. I own the theragun prime. The theragun just is more powerful than the hypervolt. It felt more powerful too.
I’ve got the Hypervolt Plus and it is absolutely fantastic. More powerful than the standard hypervolt, it’s blacked out, and the battery lasts for what seems like forever. Go get a massage gun!!!
Bought and tried both. I agree with your assessment about the added versatility of Theragun, but like Hyperice's product line better. They also offer great tips based on the previous day's activity or immediately after a workout. Selling my Theragun stuff.

What you mentioned about the sound and living in an apartment, that def hit home with me living in the DMV area. But looking to purchase and you def helped me with my decision...think I'll still go with the theragun but the more premium model and hope for the best. Thanks!!!
I recently bought Theragun Elite. Have been using it since last couple weeks pre-workout (weight training) and for recovery. Must say, I love it, I’m very happy with the results. You’re right, the different handles make it very convenient to reach different parts of the body. As for the noise, I find it still a little bit noisier. Would have loved if it were is little quieter but I’m not complaining :) Agree with your recommendation to buy Theragun.
Wish you would've mentioned the difference of vibration (hypervolt) vs percussion (theragun) massage along with the pros and cons of each and their uses
I had the theragun pro and now the hypervolt 2 pro and the hypervolt is much better for me. The attachments are better. Especially The air filled one. Excuse my English. The adjustment ring is better. The power lasts until the battery is empty equally strong. With the Theragun, the power is less with less battery. Theragun rattles loudly the hypervolt is quiet. Basically the hypervolt is also more expensive if you buy the case and the 2nd battery that are not included

@@NoahCBanks I actually ended up getting both, kept the hypervolt! I really wanted to want to keep the theragun but it’s just too loud and I don’t find it to be as strong.
I did a ton of research on massage guns and finally landed on the Bob and Brad model. I'm very happy with it and it is just as good if not better than my brother's theragun and my friend's hypervolt which cost 3x what I paid.
HyperVolt Plus has the best look and feel than all of them and the best attachments and best motor and build quality and best case. also hypervolt comes with a soft pillow case too or you can buy a $50 premium case which is well worth it in my opinion.
I own the first gen HV and the TG Elite (which is a step up from the Theragun model you are showing here by about $100). As you stated, they are both good devices, and the HV coming out so much less than the TG original model is what caused TG to step up their game. 3 years ago , Hypervolt was the clear winner for the mainstream consumer. Even with the HV now being down to 299 USD, I would recommended getting the Elite for 100 bucks more. Also, if you're wondering why you felt more relaxed from the Theragun, it's because the stroke length. It's feels more like a percusive massage, where as the amount of travel on the HV makes it feel more like a vibration effect in comparison. I also agree with you that the handle shape of the TG makes it a lot more versatile.

I spent way too much time researching massage guns just to realize that Bob and Brad C2 is prob best. This is my third massage gun. The last 2 tend to be more of a vibrator than a massage device. Not really helpful. The price + performance of C2 looked just like an absolute steal. It is nothing short of amazing! Over the years i’ve gone to their channel when ive had the odd niggle and i've always found their advice to be right "on the money".
This was VERY nicely done. Great vid - to the point, clear and articulate, thoughtful, etc...If only every video were like this.....keep up the good work.
Great review Noah - one question: I've seen a number of reviews (maybe as high as 10% of the total number of reviews) saying that the Theragun has reliability issues their customer service is shit. Given their price premium (especially here in the UK) this is the one thing holding me back from buying one
one thing to note is that changeable battery. when theraguns battery dies over years you cannot change it. For the hypervolt you can buy a new battery if it goes bad.
I just purchased the Theragun elite from Walmart. Hopefully it will help me with my feet because I stand/walk around all day at work (8+ hours). I can’t wait for it to come in to put it to the test

I totally feel ya Ralph! I’ll be doing a review on the elite sometime soon 👍🏾 I would say the biggest difference would be sound and ergonomics. In my opinion theragun is better getting into those hard to reach places like mid back. However it is definitely louder
I'm in the same boat. CMT used the Hypervolt on me and it was incredible. The Theragun Elite is a lot quieter than the prime. I think I'm learning towards Theragun since I will have to use it myself without assistance and I'll be able to get to places on my back with difficult angles on my own. Have you decided?
@@NoahCBanks I know it's the quietest of the Theragun series but I still wouldn't say it's very quiet, thank God I got the elite cause any louder and I wouldn't be able to take it. (I'm gald you did mention in your review that the Theragun all together is usually not too quiet in comparison to other brands. Still glad I made the purchase cause the power is just what I needed!)
Thanks great review. Would you recommend the hypervolt of someone is going to be using it on you ? I prefer a really deep massage tho. If a person had to use the hypervolt on you vs theragun would the pressure be enough on the hypervolt ?
Is there an alternative gun to the Theragun that goes just as deep (16mm) and also not as loud? I would order the Theragun but it’s out of stock and I want to order something ASAP. I’m afraid the Hypervolt won’t go deep enough
This was so helpful. You are very good at this! So I wanted to get one for my mom. she is almost 70 and has scoliosis... my dad would be the one massaging her. She would not be doing it on herself. So with this being the case? Would you recommend the I get her the Hypervolt?
Did you buy the Theragun Elite? I purchased one a couple days before Christmas and the power button broke within a week. In addition, the device made a weird squeaking noise when in operation, almost as if it needed to be oiled. I'm sending it back for a full refund. Not sure what I'll purchase next. I gave an Addaday Biozoom Edge to my son. Paid $99 for that and it seemed to be of much better quality. Anyways, great review.
If Theragun doesn't allow the user to use it while connected to the power supply, we depend on Theragun to sell us in the future the same battery, so there is a high chance of having the theragun obsolete. I think this is one of the bigger cons.
As a professorial licenced massage therapist, I'm not a fan of the hypervolt. I've used both and prefer the theragun hands down. I actually bought it for my private practice. Didn't even consider the hypervolt. The hypervolt will fatigue your hands faster than the hypervolt.
