lanas writing is so layered in the way that she characterizes fame and the public as a toxic romantic relationship (e.g. 'you wanted me sadder' in fishtail can be in reference to 'fans' wanting back the 'old' lana back even though since then shes undergone healing and improved her mental wellbeing), and in BTD she was still kind of dipping her toes into fame, so i think that like 'do you think well be in love forever? do you think well be in love' is asking if the public will continue supporting her after her initial success or if she will even be received in the first place, and 'youre no good for me' might be in reference to her trepidation on becoming a public figure

I love that this song with cola and A&W are kind of a trilogy that talk about sexual experience and the difference between how she talked about them in the start of her career and how she does now in her last album

Not gonna lie, this song made me buy heart-shaped sunglasses. Omg I always thought it was "ready for another line" as in snorting coke lol. This is one of my old favorites too. My friend/ roommate would play this on his guitar and I would sing on our balcony, in the hot hot Texas summer. So, if this is one of your old favorites, does that mean you listened to Born to Die? Because that's my favorite album. Lots of love! You even wore your Mountain Dew green shirt! Lol love it. 💜

FYI the line about 7-Eleven is purely biographical and vintage Lana. There’s a video on RU-vid of an interview she did back in 2008 when she was young, freshly-graduated Lizzy Grant living in a New Jersey trailer park, where she talks about how the boys would pick her up and they’d drive to gas stations to grab a slurpee lol
