I pray to GOD they can capture bf4 vibes, I fucking played the shit out of it on console and even some on PC. I remember the release and I remember the beta being HORRIBLE and release being bad but they recovered but I kinda do agree.If this game fumbles like 2042 did, its most likely curtains for the battlefield franchise which is fucking sad that we even got close to this happening.

BF3 vibes... ftfy BF3 sound design, graphics, maps and feel was 10 times superior to BF4. BF4 felt like plastic. Although BF4 gameplay and content was better.

100% BF4 was kinda disappointing at release (at least in rush mode). Sadly I switched to CSGO after the first dlc and never came back despite hearing that they recovered the state of the game. I will never know how prime bf4 felt like :(

Yes battlefield launches are notoriously bad so I wonder how this will go. Will it be a good game with a terrible launch or a bad one with a good one, or neither? Only time will tell I suppose.

I'm actually sad kind of, because I wish I spent more time with them. Gaming was just getting continually better from the early 90's until early 10's so the thought of Battlefield one day having less destruction, less epic action, worse visuals, weak gunplay, microtransaction cosmetics like CoD, releasing failed BR modes over and over wasting dev time/money and not even having classes anymore never even crossed our minds.

We either get an amazing Battlefield reboot or the series shares a the same fate as Medal of Honor. There’s no two ways around it. I think EA is about ready to drop FPS games as a whole with Apex falling off and Battlefield failing to deliver a good game. They’ve been wanting to focus on sports and mobile games for a while now

It's been sad watching the servers dry up the past few years, the player base seemed to die off at a faster pace the last 3 years. Maybe 2042 was so bad it made people not even want to play BF at all. lol it's not funny, but it is in a way. Wasn't too long ago you could still play full rush servers even on DLC maps. Last time I got to play a dragon's teeth map was probably 6-7 months ago in a 64 player conquest, which is sad I really liked that expansion pack.

Problem is, gaming industry has gone mad with "We gotta sell skins to them!". It's worst possible fit with a military game. In other genres it doesn't matter as much, but big part of Battlefield community will always reject that. Fans want an uncompromised military look. Even if BF4 was remastered 1:1, they would introduce their cancerous skins marketplace and out-of-place skins that dilute the military aesthetic of the game. People may think it doesn't matter, but it does....one of the core reasons BF3 and BF4 are remembered so fondly

What cs did is unbelievable, the lack of content at the moment is insane, critical bugs which lets people teleport, no new cases in months, three new maps, cache gone, train gone but hey at least it looks better they say.

Don't forget the game still has tons of cheaters since Valve is too hard-headed to not to upgrade their anti-cheat, also the gunplay isn't a crisp compared to CS:GO and lastly they went with the tickless route which caused alot of issues instead of upgrading it to 128 tick rate

It seems to me that EA has been attempting to make BF more like MW and vice versa. Loosing their identity in the process. MW for me felt like a sweat/shit talking game and BF more tactical less of a shit talking game nothing wrong with either. BF BC2 and BF3 were pinnicle in my mind, MW was fun for a change of pace. Idk maybe its me just getting past that type if enjoyment.

I really hope they do destruction, levolutions, and vehicles right. I miss doing such a cool event to change the map and can’t imagine what it’ll look like in a modern engine. As for vehicles, I’d gladly take a good variety in each type with customization to change how they all work.

I'm pretty much checked out of the Battlefield franchise now, so I don't really give a rats ass what happens at this point. The problem is all the mines you have to dodge with Battlefield. Even if it is a solid and good game at release, what does post launch look like? Are you going to have to wait around 4 months for a single new map and a few guns? Are they going to push out actual expansions?

The only thing to praise about Concord is that the game worked. Let's focus on that because most games take months post-launch to function. that game was just ass due to ugly characters and it being another hero shooter.

For me it's a win win if any FPS does well. If BF next is kick ass, it forces COD next to be as well (or lose its player base), if Delta Force does well, then it forces BF and COD to up their game. ANd if not, at least there is one well game to play. Yeah you're right. OW died with 2, BF, Warzones' iterations got worse (and the top streamers cheating dev double standard lead to cheats being rampant in COD), MW reboots couldn't beat originals, Tarkov got killed by cheating,

Delta force is a cash grab. It literally took what we did not like in 2042 and made it a little bit better. If they really wanted to make a ‘BF’ game for us they would have mimicked the older battlefields. The proof is how everyone started getting excited just hearing the new battlefield is going back to its roots and even more with more details about it came out. If the new battlefield actually delivers, nobody in their right minds is gonna play delta force and it will die.

What they primarily need to drop from their heads, is the idea that "we can get rich by selling skins!". If they don't do that (they likely won't, because EA) it will bomb the 3rd time. Some may think it's a small thing, but it dilutes the military look of the game. People would be surprised how much of BF3 and BF4 that look was. Weapon/map balance etc. can be always tweaked in CTE and updates, but if the aesthetic style sucks from the beginning, it's doomed just like BFV and 2042. Battlefield fanbase is not Apex/Valorant/Fortnite/R6 fanbase

I think the next BF games going to be great. Vince Zampella knows his FPS games and is making all the right noises, plus just gping back to basics is such an easy win for him to be able to say he turned it around by going back to the basic decade old template, which is all we ever wanted
