It's been some time since I hauled books, so naturally we have another super long video in which I say the work excited far too many times.....enjoy!

emmmabooks I can definitely understand why some people may not like the writing style! It’s very particular, mostly bc of the main character and her attitude, but I thought it worked really well with what the book was trying to do. I’d love to hear your thoughts as well if you do decide to read it! ☺️💕

I bought Children of Blood and Bone three days ago and finished yesterday and I'm honestly considering rereading it because it was just THAT good. I eagerly await your spoiler-y video because this book has CHANGED MY LIFE. I'm honestly considering making my own video which I haven't done in years cause I just need to talk about this book.

You're never going to believe this, but Steven Parlato (the person who wrote The Precious Dreadful) was my English Professor last semester in college. I'm not kidding. I knew he wrote novels because he told us during class that he was going to have a book signing of his new book, but I had no idea they were that popular. Now I have to read that book.

Jacqueline Woodson is genuinely one of my favorite authors. I got If You Come Softly 20 years ago when it came out, and I now have 3 separate copies, and have read her entire catalogue. I am so excited for you to read it.

I definitely recommend anything by Sherilyn Kenyon, especially her Dark Hunter or Chronicles of Nick series, if you’re into those types of books. Also your bookshelf is literally everything I aspire for in life!

I had the same kind of thing with Nemesis! I always picked it up with a bunch of other books, and then ended up buying the other books and it was always just under the cutoff. But when Genesis came out I finally read it and I thought it was super entertaining. I enjoyed Nemesis but then Genesis just amped everything up

I read The Wicked Deep & Omg I loved it I don't hear a lot of books dealing with witches so that's why I even read it & I'm glad I did because it was a wonderful book! Thank you for saying Netflix picked it up to make it a series that'll be awesome to see on tv! The book is great read it!

when you talked about the Poet X, it reminded me of Blood Water Paint by Joy McCollough, which is also written in verse and it’s an absolutely amazing story of a motherless young girl who is a struggling artist in 1610 Rome, and follows her powerful journey of being raped and bringing it to trial (which was very risky and unheard of at that time). you have to pick it up!! so easy to read (as it’s in verse) but also so intense and powerful, especially for a woman. it just came out and I feel like no one has read it and that needs to change!! I think you would enjoy it !

Omg! WICKED DEEP IS FREAKING AMAZING!!!! I LOVED IT!!!! It gave me huge Practical Magic vibes! Which I love. But then again I'm always down for a book on Witches. And I plan on reading CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE next month. I pre-ordered it and can't wait to read it, only problem is I am moving at the end of the month so don't have time for it yet but, it will be my present to myself once I move.

I just finished The Wicked Deep last week or so and it was SO GOOD! It felt so atmospheric and interesting and it was a little predictable, but in the way that Hocus Pocus is predictable and it felt very nostalgic even though I had never read it before.

I really liked genesis and I am very curious to see where the second book is going to go. He also co-wrote The Virals with his mother Kathy Reichs who is one my favourite authors. She wrote/is still writing the Temperance Brennan series, the books that the tv show Bones was inspired by/based off of.

Thanks, this sounds really interesting. I've read a book that's kind of like "Poet X", it's written in the same way. It's about a pair of conjoined twins, it's very entertaining and well-written.

I finished Furyborn this week and thought it was pretty good I rated it 3.75 stars bc I favored one of the protagonist’s stories over the other and the connection didn’t come until the end
