I think if you sort the soul terminal in alphabetical order it also does it in numerical order, so the highest level of that creature is last in the order, and it separates males from females too which is super useful

Jim also fed babies to it instead of going around looking for dinos to kill once you become friends with the carch. You can do that to normal carchs too

For the Carchar, it's honestly best to tame them without using a trap since they clearly bug out on it. I recommend killing any creatures in the area that might get in the way via attacking you or drawing the Carchar's aggro. Leading it to an isolated area might also work if it's not focused on attacking anything and once the conditions are perfect, begin feeding it baby dinos🙂

You can throw the miners helmet in the LR converter, makes it so the light doesnt drain durability, i like doing that so my light pets can wear them (Its super duper cute!)

Midsize dragable dinosaurs like argies and ankylosaurs are the best dinosaurs to feed a carchadontasaurus that is roaming in a open non caged area or a very large very wide cage to roam around in.

For carcharodontosaurus do a large trap for the feed then use baby for taming

You can basically skip the first phase of the carchar taming by feeding it a baby rex or yuty, since it will fully fill it's friendly meter.

Tame the rock elemental. Also Jim had an easier time with the Carch because he used the Babies from his leveling farm Which made it super easy but then he went TOO fast and it went beserk and killed him and then murphys law took over so that's why it's level came out so low.

Try unclaiming the bby rex's B4 u get it's friendly meter up that way when it does get up there u can just stay up on the carch and eat and u won't lose any tame effectiveness

The babies are actually for feeding it corpses you still need wilds for the hunting part. You just through out some rex or giga babies (make sure you have very little on your character for weight reasons) and drag the corpses up to fill the friendship. You could also trap something like a brachi or otherwise nearby so you can kill easy on the carcha.

If you are on "pvp", you can kill your own baby dinos with the carcha for the actual taming part. I don't know what server settings they are playing with tho but syntac used to play with pvp setting so he could level his dinos by killing babies so it might be the same here.

@@reefer6587 oh ok, i didn't think they would work for the second phase. Never really thought about it. I mean if you aren't on pvp you also can't do the first part with your own babies unless you use ovis or starve them. As in pve you can't hurt you tames at all.

I have a peleo and normal carch and the peleo one was a bit easy to tame then the normal one

In the search bar type the lvl of the dino your looking for that way you can find out if there is mutations

Do you guys have a good sword blueprint? If so then it would be cool to see you mutate some Mantises. They can be bred now too, so their damage is probably crazy with some melee mutations and a good sword. Can give them picks, hatchets and sickles too for gathering.

Paleo variant is closer to a rex than the actual carchar. They have lower stats but they level normally(leveling health, stam or weight is no longer useless) and you can take them to boss fights.

@@Atzuma99yes. they have the same drag weight as a rex. same for the paleo giga. both are rex drag weight and can teleport into boss fights as stated above

@atzuma9916 yeah, vanilla carchars are very useful in extinction and pvp but in pve, they don't really have a lot of uses considering you can't take them on boss fights. You can always get a mod to allow all creatures into boss fights tho or if you want to, you can even spawn the bosses in using either simple spawners mod or console commands and fight them out on the overworld instead.
