A very good lecture. According to Ashtavakra Gita ( Byrne) , Brahma is emptiness. According to quantum mechanics, emptiness is everything( everything is Brahma). The creation takes place in void only. Further quantum mechanics confirm that emptiness is not at all empty. It is full of infinite energy. One mystic of A .P.( VEMANA), who supported Nagarjuna’s void philosophy, said in 16 th century that creation and dissolution takes place in void.
Created one is called Asat ( false)Vedanta. Vidyaranyapura Swamy called it Avidya( resulting in death). Adisankara called it midya or illusion. According to classical Physics , creation is entropy controlled ; entropy means disorder. Just like we enjoy , suffer in miseries, sometimes weep in cinema which is a created one ; after coming out of cinema, we know that the created film is false. Similarly we have treat Brahma creation as false during the entire life process.

Swamy ji pranam. Some years back I read one book of Deepak Chopra, whom you also know, which became very famous one, in which he says at macro level physical universe appears in various forms, shapes and colours but at micro level all this physicality disappears and only energy consisting of billons of atoms floating around is visible if we observe the physical macro entities through a powerful microscope. Energy is nothing but chetana. This experience is same as finding smallest organisms not visible to naked eye through a microscope. Since at energy level we don’t have any form, shape and colour the visible world can be called Midhya. Jagath midhya. Is it correct?
Asthabakra might have told anything he likes to King Janaka, and King Janaka might have awarded him by giving hundreds of cows with 3kg gold bound with each horn of each cow, but question is what I am to gain personally by believing that I am eternal and whatever I see, are nonexistent and illusion. The speaker says, if I can think that way, all my sufferings will vanish in thin air. But, sufferings of Asthabakra himself, the very inventor of this great thought and concept, did not vanish on it's own, but he had to accept gift of cows etc., from King Janaka to get rid of his earthly sufferings. Hence, it is again illusion that thinking as I am eternal and world is illusion,will benefit me in anyway to get rid of earthly sufferings.
All past karma are distroyed for a person like Sriramakrishna.then why pain for his body ... eventhough he was in bliss internally? Absense of pain would 'nt have been better?
Swami Ji, Telling a hungry man about all the choicest dishes imaginable and asserting that hunger is "maya" and his actual swaroopa is fullness of stomach.... can't figure out how is it going to be of any help..... Further, it is known to mankind that at the outer space there is no atmosphere and no gravity etc ...But as long as one is earth bound, that information is just an information, maybe of "academic interests"
That is why 'Seva' or self-less service is important.A hungry man must be feed or a poor man must be given bodily comfort. But we should always keep in mind that we are not serving just a body, we are serving the all pervading Atman through that body. Service is always for the Atman.Unless a man is given physical security, he will be tied up at the bodily level.His consciousness will not rise above the physical comfort.That is why in our Sanatana culture it is said that first 'Annadan'(giving food and physical comfort), then 'Vidyadan'(giving knowledge of the various fields of nature and practical knowledge) and last is 'Jnanadan' (giving the vedantic knowledge).
@@iAMnot2 What you are telling that is not practice of your sanatan dharma alone, all religions on earth, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Zarathrustian, Baha'i etc., says same i.e.feed before preaching. The weakness of human beings lies in food. That is why, all religions use food as carrot to attract people to their respective sects. With advancing age, ability of senses to enjoy get eroded, except tongue, ability of which to enjoy food never gets reduced. Old men remain ever eager to consume food like young men. Attraction to food never gets diminished. That is why, during cremation, Hindus put fire in the mouth of dead before lighting the pyre. Followers of many sects also donate part of their earnings, like Sikhs to Gurdwaras for langar or free kitchen. But, that has nothing to do with understanding of Asthabakra Gita and Mayabad of Shankaracharya.
Lastnight i dreamt that i was dying of hunger ( with all these news about recession, war and supply chain etc.) ....my hunger was real in that dream because i thought i am going to die.....and then when my mother woke me up i remembered the delicious dinner i had with my mom of my favorite dishes....yes if you had told me then in my dream that my hunger is an illusion and the world is not real etc. I would have abused you certainly..
Non-duality Vedanta has nothing to do with thirst and hunger. In Upanishad and Gita, food is considered as Bramhan, as a man without food for few days, can't work, can't remember anything. Shankaracharya's maya-bad preaches that (jiv)Ātman is non-different from immortal Bramhan, nature of which is Sat (true Reality or Pure Existence), Cit (pure Awareness or Consciousness), and ananda (bliss). As such, jivatman or individual self is a mere reflection or limitation of singular Bramhan in a multitude of apparent individual bodies. He who really believes in this theory, should not take initiative to go to temple, worship, pray etc., as all consciousness of all individuals will marge with Bramhan by default. You have not understood the concept and as such, you have mixed it up with hunger which is natural reaction of body.

Your conviction on non-nreality of the world appears to be more than that of Astabakra himself. But, at the same breath, you are assuring the audience, that they belong to reality. Is it logical thinking or an attempt to push all problems of existence under carpet on plea of non-reality? Asthabakra has simply said to King Janaka, which is called as Asthsbakra Gita, " If you wish to be free, Know you are the Self, The witness of all these, The heart of awareness. Set your body aside. Sit in your own awareness. You will at once be happy, Forever still, Forever free. You are everywhere, Forever free. If you think you are free, You are free. If you think you are bound, You are bound. Meditate on the Self. One without two, Exalted awareness". That's all. Hence, it is only one of many conceptions, not necessarily the truth. But, this conception tends to make a person inactive like your sadhus and monks of yesterday's. But, today's sadhus and monks like to project themselves in service of society, which you are preaching as non-reality.
