We the Seniors paid that money into Social Security over 60 years and you are trying to pull the wool over our eyes you need to pay back what you stole and raise our pay to $3200.00 a month because you gave the minimum wage to $15.00 a hour and that comes to be $3200.00 a month if you don't raise Social Security so that it matches minimum wage the Seniors are going to be in the poverty level. Social Security is all that some Seniors have to live on.
Social security was a scam to bring in spendable rev so they could spend that year and kick it down to be paid back decades later to those its barrowed from. The program needs to be ended and phased out by paying out whats left but ending the tax and ending the program over 20 40 years entirely and remind people that they can save and invest that taxed ss money any way they want and still actually own it if they invest it any other way rather then send off to hope the government has it to pay back to you if they haven't changed any laws and you still qualify for a check set to what they decided it has to be when your qualified. I don't know how they managed to sell americans that they are too stupid to manage saving for retirement themselves and need to pay the government to do it for them by force and lose access to that money entirely until the government decides to give it back and incentivises the government to actually hop you die right at retirement or live shorter lives.

When congress claims that Social Security is part of spending, that should tell you that congress considers the social security money as part of their piggy bank. That's great and I agree but it's not going to solve this problem. It's the equivalent of saving a few pennies on groceries while buying a 3000 dollar purse on a credit card. Health care and the public's perception of what health care is and does must drastically change bc the costs must go down while boosting the economy. Insurance companies are the primary cause. There are so many healthcare and insurance companies with adjustable rate packages. The competition alone drives the medical prices up, so that people will opt for insurance rather than paying it out of pocket. So the companies can charge whatever they want...
But, he's not advocating reducing prices or capping costs. He had that opportunity. He could have set "put a price cap on IVs" and instead, and he went for "attack obesity" which literally is extremely unlikely to happen without massive comprehensive cultural change...including the layout of our cities, the sugar content allowed in our processed foods, etc etc. It's like he has all of this information, and then just presents a practically impossible solution, ignoring the fact that the only real short-term solution is regulating the healthcare industry.

He's not discussing Medicaid which is huge. Plus, the majority of humans receiving Medicaid paid minimal to nothing for their free healthcare. MEDICARE WAS PAID FOR. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MAKING INTEREST. PLUS DEMS HAVE ExPANDED MEDICARE AND WANT MEDICARE FOR ALL. I realize he has an R after his name but blaming medicare and not Medicaid is not the answer. Medicare will go under but not Medicaid? Maybe better bc Medicaid receivers don't pay a dime for healthcare. Healthcare is common sense and is mostly used by the elderly. Preventative medicine, not just suppression of symptoms which is costing us a ton of money to treat all of the diabetic, heart failing, immune disrupted patients in this country with pharmaceuticals that companies jack up prices on. I totally agree with you. Once they start borrowing and stealing from any of the programs out there, it seems to get easier and easier for the taking. If they don't need it today, then whatever they want, not need it for is all of a sudden the most important problem we have. Remember, when they were impeaching Trump after the insurgence in Jan. the court costs were paid for by Medicare.

The main issue he says is that medicare is $78 trillion short over 30 years, and people are receiving 3x more medicare benefits than they paid into the system. My simple first thought: fix the healthcare market so that insurance companies don't bill $450 for 2 extra strength tylenol; or $800 for a bandage while in the hospital. Will that fix the problem?

Part of the problem are millions of people who never paid into it at all getting more of than those who do. I’ve met way too many people who make more every month on welfare than I do for 40+ a week.
Yeah their all out making money. Probably hanging out around Nancy Pelosi to see if she’s gonna down any stock market info to her husband. Hell they’ve only made about 32 million in the last 9 months. Yea her husband buys and sales stock. Funny they ran out and bought millions in electric vehicle stock one week. The next week? Joe Biden comes out announcing the government is going to replace its entire fleet . Going to replace them with electric vehicles. The next day guess what? Electric power vehicle stock blow the hell up. Just a few weeks ago stock in big tech wasn’t doing real good. Everyone knew the congress was about to crack down on big tech. At the same time Nancy’s pelosi has the bill in her office. She said she never talked to her husband. She don’t know what stock he buys or sales. Just so happened he ran out and bought a boat load of stock in big tech companies. Well I be damned. The following week Nancy thought it was time to bring that bill out and take a vote on it.
It really shouldn't exist at all, the best social safety net is a prosperous society, and obviously the ponzi scheme known as social security is demolishing prosperity.

I had to look at it as insuring my parents were living their lives without worry and receiving what they paid in. So I was proud to work so my parents were paid.
We all need to move to crypto. leave these idiots holding empty bags when they finish enslaving the masses. They control us economically. But if we were able to check out of their system they couldn't do it as easily. we need a parallel society that believes in personal and financial freedom. It’s nice that for the first time we heard the Duchess of Cornwall speak about such horrible actions committed to women. This is one subject that unfortunately needed correction not just now but centuries ago. It wasn’t corrected then and a small snowball became an avalanche. The only way to stop this kind of violence is by also reporting if you know someone that is being harassed in the hope there will be questions asked by authorities and then again sometimes the authorities push you away by saying there’s not enough evidence. Maybe if they did the gesture to ask the person might think again not to commit the crime it’s that someone has to take that first step.
