Fun fact: St. Pádraig’s story was never about driving literal snakes out of Ireland in the first place. Labeling a specific group of kids as snakes & then driving them out is actually extremely in keeping with the story.

It's a play on how in the legend, St. Patrick supposedly made all snakes vanish from Ireland (it's a metaphor for converting/ driving away the pagans) In this comic, since Slytherins house symbol is a snake, St. Patrick drove away all Slytherins

Could be actually be a cursed used for good if able to be controlled. Like imagine being irl having that curse and at the when humanity is about to make one of the ultimate mistakes, suddenly the “keys” (be there launch codes, automated programs, call signs, or whatever other methods could be used for launched) sudden you go missing (or otherwise non-functional and thus “missing”) and full-blown nuclear warfare is avoided due to them being rendered unable to be used.

In Snow White, not only is she asleep but she is also approximately 13, whilst the Prince is around 30. Edit: Before anyone else starts to complain that I’m wrong, that the Disney version has more appropriate ages, maybe pay attention to what this says. It doesn’t mention once the Disney version. I’m talking about the original.

Things get complex in context of the Middle Ages when it comes to age differences (still screwed up by our standards though), but kissing whst for all he knew was not just asleep, but essentially a corpse isn’t really able to be put into context. If you want a super mega screwed up story with a similar-ish presence, look to the original versions of the story of sleeping beauty. Let’s just say that the way sleeping beauty woke up in that story makes this look like nothing.

Not reeeally, different from other characters Disney never revealed the ages of the characters from Snow White and The seven dwarves we just have approximate ages, so the ages shown on the internet are not official, and I’m pretty sure the prince was meant to be close to her age and she was meant to be older then she looks it’s just how the animation turned out. (I think I’m gonna delete this later..)

@@kon0212 Not necessarily. There are plenty of cursed items that effect the user as well as the target. Usually with those types of items what makes them so op is the fact that the wielder knows how to handle the curse while the enemy does not.

Could be used for good though if used and directed properly. Like a key doesn’t have to be literal or physical, so you could technically avert massive destruction or just general major of evil due to making a “key” component of those actions going “missing” and being unable to be fulfilled, perhaps theoretically even retroactivity.
