I know you could just print everything, but this is the best way to use the 3d printer to me. I like to buy the GW kits and then print the extra stuff to use up every bit I can. I just feel like I am both supporting the hobby, and getting my monies worth out of GW. I got 29 guys out of one set of Afaptus Arbites that way.

Neat! I did something similar to get hold of my own semi-firstborn Sternguard Squad recently. I took the combi weapons from the old Marine Commander box, a bunch of assorted intercessor and tactical bolter arms and weapons + printed MK 6 heads, torsos and legs = a nice set of veterans!

Just got my first SLA for Christmas (Mars 3 Pro) I've been binging your channel the last couple days, and I love how you always interview these creators, and that your videos aren't just printing proxies; but usually a whole mini essay on supporting, resins, calibration, etc. 1:15 seals the deal now, that you're my favourite and go-to RU-vidr for 3D printing minis. I've seen too many other channels mention servers or creators by name, and then unsurprisingly those files are no longer available for download.

While sharing file names and such in video and big post is quite risky, I’d say that the best way to find some if you’re lost is to just ask. There are many people eager to give advice online. And it won’t cost you a thing.

Cataphractii are my favoruite units, Maybe the centurions pass them, i can't make up my mind. I have 30 cataphractii, Imperial fists; 10 man chainfists, stormbolter; 10man Black templar stormshields and thunder hammer, and 10 man chainfist and imperial fist stormshields. They are my favoruite to build, favourite to paint and favourite to play, even though they can be crippling point heavy.

I would like to see this done to a sisters of battle squad box. The base troops box is used in domions, celestians, and normal troops. Even the GW site has images of same sprews for all three.

Watched the vid yesterday but I just just found myself looking at custom models on reddit and heard my internal monologue go "thats a cool double gun, why dont we see more custom double guns like this...." followed by "FUCK, its a stormbolter god damn it... that dumb term is too funny and its now with me forever isnt it?" Would love to see this with the deathwatch veterans box, I finished the five models out of it, and there are still 15 weapons on the sprues, including a top half option to a multi weapon and a shield. To say nothing of the 12 spare shoulder pads and 6 heads

tip for removing supports: after removing from the bed, cleaned in IPA and dried off, you can dunk them in some hot water for a few seconds, and the supports should come off easily. note to be a bit more cautious smaller bits like those loincloths as they will warp

Have you tried any Sunlu resins? I'd be interested to hear what you think about it. Even the standard is surprisingly sturdy for how cheap it is

Amazing content as usual. I totally support squeezing the most plastic bits from a sprue with help of 3d printing. Last time I've done 21 tempestus Scion from the OG GW one with Solutionless files. I just recasted one half arm ( grenade launcher upper right) with help of blue stuff, then milipilut to use both options attached to it. I'm now on the quest to made at least 5 immortal AND 5 deathmarks out of one box. Don't need too much, only backspin and legs, but sadly the only files I found until now are always full upper bodies. So I'm still lurking and looking for a solution. Maybe our lovely community have some clues where too look ;) Could be a next challenge for you btw 😜😜 In all cases cheers mate and have a nice day

The only wrong thing to me is that we had to print parts because they don't include enough parts in the box

How to get more models out of the box? Print the missing parts, mainly the hole model minus the arms... Still great models. I hope, GW doesn't find them and takes them down.

3d sprint Leviathan box set

The double guns are called storm bolter and there is combie guns but there a bolter and another gun like a bolter and plasma gun

Still have all the bits from the HH boxset.....I know what I must do now to get more value out of it. Just need something for those MK6 marines.....that might be a little more annoying though

Can't tell you how many bits have, dying the slow neglected death. This gives me ideas, but I need to finish printing star scrappers first. Then I have a some mecha to print from you know who.

I might actually try this. i got a 3d printer for christmas which i freaked out over cus it costed so much and i thought i would never use it and it would go to waste but eh. if i ever get my workspace back i could use this with the bits from my intercessor box

I had the opposite quality with customer service. I ordered and paid for a replacement screen, the screen they sent didn't turn on, they sent a new motherboard, that didn't fix the issue, they sent another screen that didn't turn on. When I put my original screen back in it turns on, but it was cracked... hence the buying a replacement. I provided video proof to them of the issue. All over a 6 month period of constant emails and waiting for deliveries. They finally told me that my purchase was out of the 6 month warranty and would no longer assist me and refused to give a refund for the screen that I purchased but didn't turn on. Never again with Anycubic.

It has always annoyed me at the amount of wasted parts and materials in GW models. Having started a Tyranid Hive Tyrant and finding out that the only part in the set that is used between the different versions is the body. Gw only gives you one body so two thirds of the box is going in the bin, bits box or maybe on eBay. I would rather they just sold two versions and stopped the waste. Luckily there are 3d printed and recast versions of the part available so now I have two Hive Tyrants for the cost of the part and a base.

I love the Phobos combi-bolters and while Cataphractii is cool it looks just to much like Horus sometimes it’s to much. Tartaros terminators are so cool because they look like Contemptor dreadnoughts. Which are my favorite things in warhammer ever and they are the just really sleek. So I kitbashed my models with those Phobos combi-bolters is truly amazing.

That kit couldn’t have cost $140 could it. I thought it was like 60

IMO citadel is charging outrageous prices for this stuff. I mean $140 for 10 guys. They’re cool but that is insane.

if you're printing torsos and legs I'd suggest upping the scale by 5-7% the basic guys are a bit shrimpy and need a bit of up-scaling themselves.
