As a white guy in Church Hill, I always vote for anything that can bring in money to our neighborhood to provide any sort of help. I'm here because it's where I can afford to live. Jobs are hard to find, but I see things getting better every year.

The South side was crazy, cats pulling guns out cause you owe them $10. And half of em never seen a Puerto Rican like me so they didn't understand that NJ/NY culture. The RVA is as dangerous as people say. You want safe move to the West End and stay there.

I always believed it's the content of the music. The lyrics are like mantra's, when you drill that into your head everyday then your life might follow the content of the lyrics. Seems like the only popular music that gets pushed into the community is about violence and just getting by, not about working together, organizing and cleaning up the street. Stop listening to the corporate sanctioned music and anyone that follows the same rhyme and rhythm. It's our job on an individual level to clean our rooms, and put our house in perfect order before we go around judging the quality of others with extreme prejudice.
