Does this strange instrument sound eerily similar to a traditional wooden flute? Let me know in this comments below! :)
The instrument I performed in this video is called a theremin. It's one of the world's first every electronic instrument dating back it's origins to the early 1920s. In recent years, I have developed an entirely new sound and technique for the theremin, expanding the theremin's possibilities.
I want to mention that this technique does not intend to replace any traditionally instruments. It's only an expansion for what you can learn on the theremin.
In fact, it's main purpose is to help others heal with the sonic power of sound healing. Many listeners in the past and present have mentioned to me the benefits of the theremin "flute" sound. Describing it to put one into a hypnotic trance!
If you enjoyed what you heard, I plan to upload more of these recordings in the future. Subscribe for more! :)

Very nicely done, and the timbre is right👍, but the giveaway is the vibrato. On a Native American flute (as well as on end-blown flutes) vibrato is performed with breath control which lends a characteristic “tremolo” to the vibrato, so there is a subtle increase and decrease in volume as well as in pitch. This is slightly different from pure vibrato on a theremin, which is strictly a variation in pitch, as the hand of the thereminist moves above and below the “center” of the note. The theremin cannot play connected notes (i.e. two or more notes in succession with no space between them) that are separated by an interval of more than about a third or a fourth. A flute or a keyboard can do this easily.

Great point and I think that differentiates the theremin “flute” technique from a real flute. The technique is never intended to 100% replicate an actual flute. It allows the theremin “flute” technique to have it’s own characteristics. I took some inspiration from flute music I love and made my own theremin twist! Always an honor to read what you have to say Peter! Thank you for your insight! I will keep innovating this style. 😁

I think I used a Canon T5i with the stock lens and the basic 50mm lens!
