I built a Thermoelectric Generator with Supercapacitor. I have used a supercap to charge the electricity from TEG(Thermoelectric Generator). Also, I've used two USB step up converter modules to get 5V DC. Those modules convert 0.9V - 5V to 5V. So that, we can charge mobile devices and operate any USB powered devices.

i wonder if you build a whole fireplace out of this how much it would crank out. just build the stone or brick around it to hold it in place. a cabin up north could use this during winter.

How much material and energy goes into making the equipment that produces 5 volts that rely on tea candles? I think anyone looking for hope in a child's science project is fooling themselves. There is no energy crisis. It's a manufactured scare tactic to sell pipe dreams of sustainable green and alternative energies.

Charging a capacitor bank with 24v will help ebikes to go up hills 10 seconds at 2000w output.....charging from sun power with a 24v controller 10A. Capacitor must be 24v 500F to give propulsion of 1000-2000w ebike. Can also be used headway cells 8A if needed. Very fast charging. 24v 8A pack. This pack its able to instant peak power of 24v 80A. Just for hills can be the lightest weight kg ebike 1000-2000w.

Nice gen Skilful Life.My idea was to use several high output TEG's of 20w each, and use either LENR(2-6w input) or a low volt hho gen (needle flame) to provide the heat. Then the machine would self sustain.

The 20w rating is the max energy output or input, not how much you'll produce. You can't get out more than you put in. Though you could heat it from the sun like a solar hot water heater and make some power.

@@ancapftw9113 Its 20w Output .like I said LENR can create plenty of excess heat for less than 3W. And sure it could heat at least 4 20w TEG's.

@@quantumenergysolutions9128 it's not 20w output unless you put in at least 20w per unit. That's the peak output at max voltage, or in the case of a TEC, either the amount of power it will use at its rated 12v max voltage or the maximum safe power it can use to cool things. Power generation is always limited by the amount or mechanical or heat energy you put in. Though these tend to have efficencies below 10%, so it would take 200w of heat or so to get 20w out. A camp fire or large heater might do it, but a candle only puts out a few watts at best.

The capacitor is needed if you want to charge anything. The generator won't put out more than a few dozen millions, too little to charge a phone. But the cap will charge up so that you can get enough energy for a little while.

So you are heating the other side of the Peltier module to generate voltage it means that the other is cooling down the one with the heatsink. Do the heatsink and the fan disperse the cold air without causing the air to condense and have a water dripping issue within your set-up?

When you give power to the Peltier module, it will get cooling down one side. But, when you are going to take power from a Peltier/TEG, you are going to heat one side whereas, you have to cool down it's other side to get the power. So, there is no condensation.

1 pelter cost 350 to 400 plus 2 headsing 200 plus 200 capisiter 150 2 power bank curcut 100 also you put fan on other side its 100 rs i guess total cost of this project is 1200 to 1500 and also burn candle headache just buy soler plate 2000 rs its very good

Fixing hot plate at 50 degrees and the heat sink, which thermoelectric module would produce more power: TEC1-12702, TEC1-12706 or TEC1-12710?

Those are Thermoelectric Coolers not Generators. They produce less electricity than TEGs and won't last long with heat. I never try those TECs to produce electricity.

strange it take so long to charge. I put a peltier device and 2 hear sinks . added a small flame and hsd 4-5 volts in seconds and light

i am not sure how long that peltier alive that. Acording datasheet its peltier construct about 90 degree operating, flame has 500-800 degree.

TEG, Supercap, Supercap balance boar, switch, USP step up boost converterX2, USB cord, bldc fan, piece of wood, candleX2, piece of wires, piece of heat shrink tube, heat sinkX2(you can make/buy), piece of speaker mesh, some pieces of metal sheets and screws/balt&nuts.

The USB module regulates the output voltage. around 500mA.

It will work for only one supercap and the charging voltage should not exceed 2.7V

What are the dimensions of the heatsink and fan? Is it ok to use heatsink without heat pipe or the heat pipe may affect the system of reducing the heat?

2.75"X2.75" heat pipe helps little bit to reduce heat. But, if you don't have heat pipe, it is not a problem. Just arrange a good ventilation for the heat sink.

As you konw that a diode drops some voltage across it. In this point, to get the maximum voltage from the TEG, avoid the diode and use a switch for diode function.

This is just for demo. But in real, natural ventilation pipe will replace the fan.

That is WAY TOO MUCH thermal grease. You are insulating it with that MUCH grease instead.

The TEG/peltier is terribly ineffective anyway, the additional transition resistance dosen´t hurt the system that much! xD I build a TEG with 10 of those cheap peltier´s on a wathercooled aluminum block. On the prototype i just put the heat sink on with cheap thermal grease to roughly test the power output. Then i used dendritic copper and epoxy on the build...... the power gain was´t even measurable! You puming hundreds of watts worth of thermal energy through these things to get a few watts of electrical power out! it´s not worth it. fun projects though!
